Sectigo welcomes Mark Bilger as new Chief Product & Technology Officer
Sectigo, revered for its expertise in certificate lifecycle management (CLM), has announced the appointment of Mark Bilger as Chief Product and Technology Officer. Over his career, Bilger has amassed more than 35 years' experience and held leadership roles across an array of tech firms, including Dell, Hyperion, HP, and York Risk.
In his most recent role as CIO for a $1B+ provider of workers compensation solutions, One Call, Bilger oversaw the complete information technology sweep, including strategy, networking, corporate computing, infrastructure, applications development, and information security. Bilger was instrumental in enhancing the availability of business systems to 99.95%, implementing the CIS 20 Information Security framework, and unifying three maturing data warehouses into one cloud-based repository.
As Sectigo's Chief Product and Technology Officer, Bilger will be entrusted with all product-related functions, such as research and development, product strategy, and engineering. He will also oversee the firm's information technology.
Speaking about his appointment, Bilger revealed his excitement about the potential challenges the role will hold given the rapidly advancing tech industry. "Our customers are coming up against sea changes in quantum computing, reduced certificate lifespans, automation, AI, consolidation, and a host of other technological and operational shifts. Sectigo has been the gold standard for digital trust for more than 20 years, and I am excited to keep evolving our platform and our market share to keep us there."
Kevin Weiss, Sectigo's CEO, recognized Bilger's technological expertise and innovative spirit, citing them as essential attributes for the company's future. "As we continue to streamline and centralize operations across the organization, Mark's leadership will ensure we remain well positioned to deliver the simplest, most secure, and most scalable CLM offerings to our customers around the world. We warmly welcome Mark to the Sectigo family."
