New Notitia branch amid rising demand for tech services
Tue, 13th Feb 2024

Canberra, Australia will be home to the third branch of Australian-owned tech firm, Notitia, opening on February 12. This new addition to Notitia's offices, joining Melbourne and Adelaide, was driven by an expansive demand for data and technology consulting services. The expansion will provide focused attention to clients within Canberra and ACT.

The decision to open a new branch is in direct reaction to a double digit growth in Canberra-based clients and a fierce necessity for businesses, government bodies, and healthcare to keep up with the rapid pace of digital transformation, according to Alex Avery, Notitia's founder and managing director.

"Notitia was created to serve a gap in the market to support businesses in their data transformation journey. Over the past four years there has been a massive shift in awareness and an increase in demand for the services we provide," Mr Avery explained. He added that "Governments and businesses are becoming more data literate, implementing governance processes, fit-for-purpose technology and using reliable data to inform strategy and make business decisions."

Mr Avery stated that Notitia has witnessed first-hand the direct impact that data and technology have had on the growing organisations, especially within the government and healthcare sectors. He also noted a strong necessity to support Canberra-based organisations face-to-face.

Ariel Pilcer, the newly appointed Notitia Principal, will head the Canberra branch starting on February 12. Mr Pilcer has an impressive portfolio, having worked on projects for the Department of Defence, Australian Government Department of Finance, the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, as well as global technology giants Qlik, and Teradata, and consultancy firm KPMG Australia.

Having dedicated resources, local expertise, and on-the-ground support in Canberra would greatly benefit the Australian Capital Territory clients, said Mr Avery. "Notitia is proud to commit to building local capabilities and capacity in Canberra more broadly, including hosting developer and business user meet ups to bolster adoption of data and improve data literacy," he stated.

Excitement filled the air as Mr Avery welcomed Mr Pilcer to the team. "He brings a wealth of experience in providing data analytics, advisory, and web development solutions to clients in Canberra across government, defence, aviation, banking and retail," Mr Avery added.

According to Mr Avery, Notitia operates on the principle of ensuring every client has a direct connection to their leadership team, resulting in a team that is agile and completely focused on delivering substantial value. "Having our collective backgrounds from large consultancies, we know what works and doesn’t work for our clients," he mentioned. "Our clients value deep technical expertise combined with a personal approach and wraparound support service.”

Notitia is on a mission to constantly enhance their service provision and suffice the specific needs of their clients; tailoring their service to overcome industry-specific challenges, whether that’s through their people, tools or processes.
