8x8 has added Krisp to its Technology Partner Ecosystem, making Krisp's voice AI tools available to 8x8 Contact Centre and 8x8 Work customers.

The integration brings noise cancellation, voice isolation, accent conversion and multilingual voice features to the 8x8 Platform for CX. The tools are intended to improve call clarity for contact centre agents, employees and customers working in the office, at home and in other remote settings.

Voice quality has become a persistent issue for companies that rely on distributed teams and cross-border customer support. Background noise, inconsistent audio environments and language differences can make callers harder to understand. They can also affect the quality of transcripts, summaries and other records created from calls.

Under the arrangement, joint customers will be able to use real-time bidirectional accent conversion and multilingual voice functions across more than 60 languages. Cleaner audio should also support downstream processes such as sentiment analysis, quality scoring and compliance reviews.

Focus on clarity

Krisp is best known for software that filters background noise and isolates a speaker's voice during calls. By embedding those functions into 8x8's communications products, the partnership aims to reduce the need for separate applications or extra workflows for agents and office staff.

The deal also expands the role of 8x8's Technology Partner Ecosystem, which brings external software into its broader communications and customer experience platform. 8x8 combines contact centre services, unified communications and communications APIs in the same product suite.

Robert Schoenfield, Executive Vice President of Licensing and Partnerships at Krisp, said voice remained central to customer service despite the growth of digital channels.

"Voice remains essential to customer experience, but background noise, language differences, and distributed work environments can make conversations harder than they need to be," said Robert Schoenfield, Executive Vice President of Licensing and Partnerships at Krisp. "Our partnership with 8x8 brings Krisp's voice AI technology into the communications platform that contact center agents and employees already use, helping global organizations deliver clearer and more productive interactions."

AI in calls

The addition reflects a wider push across business communications providers to apply AI to live calls as well as post-call analysis. While many vendors have focused on transcription, summaries and coaching tools, audio enhancement has become another competitive area as hybrid work and international support models reshape call centre operations.

For 8x8, the Krisp integration adds a practical layer to its customer experience offering by improving call conditions before speech is processed by analytics systems. Better source audio can improve the reliability of systems that depend on voice input, particularly where multiple accents, noisy locations or variable home broadband conditions are involved.

Victor Belfor, Global Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at 8x8, said customers were looking for consistent voice interactions regardless of where people were working.

"Customers expect every voice interaction to be clear, regardless of where they call from or where an agent works," said Victor Belfor, Global Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at 8x8. "Bringing Krisp's voice AI capabilities to the 8x8 Platform for CX will help organizations reduce communication barriers and give agents, employees, and customers a better experience. This partnership reflects the value of the 8x8 Technology Partner Ecosystem in bringing specialized innovation into the communications environments our customers already use."

The integration is available to users of 8x8 Contact Centre and 8x8 Work. Krisp's addition gives 8x8 customers another way to improve audio quality and manage multilingual conversations within their existing communications environment.
