LogicMonitor has appointed Dave Patnaik Vice President of APAC, adding a regional executive to its global go-to-market leadership team.
Based in Singapore, Patnaik will report to President of Field Operations John Grosshans. He will lead regional go-to-market execution, expand coverage across Asia Pacific and work with strategic ecosystem partners as LogicMonitor looks to grow its enterprise presence.
The appointment comes as technology suppliers compete for a larger share of IT spending tied to digital transformation and artificial intelligence projects across Asia Pacific. Businesses in the region are also managing more complex technology estates, lifting demand for tools that monitor infrastructure, cloud environments and digital services.
Regional brief
Before joining LogicMonitor, Patnaik held senior roles across Asia Pacific and international markets at Red Hat, Forescout, SolarWinds, Wolters Kluwer and Trend Micro. At Red Hat, he led an APJ ecosystem business valued at USD $1 billion, according to LogicMonitor.
That background is likely to matter for LogicMonitor's partner strategy in the region, where channel relationships, systems integrators and local alliances often play a large role in enterprise software sales. Patnaik has experience scaling sales and partner-led teams across multiple countries.
LogicMonitor has been increasing its focus on Asia Pacific as it seeks a larger enterprise footprint outside its home market. Recent investments in regional operations and customer coverage include a planned data centre in New Zealand and a partnership with Chillisoft.
The broader backdrop is a market in which enterprises want better visibility into hybrid environments spanning on-premises systems, cloud services and internet-facing applications. Vendors in the observability and IT operations market are increasingly linking that demand to automation and AI-based tools.
Grosshans said the region remains important to the company's growth plans.
"Asia Pacific is a strategic growth region for LogicMonitor, and we continue to see strong demand from enterprises looking to modernise operations, improve resilience, and prepare for an AI-driven future," said John Grosshans, President of Field Operations, LogicMonitor.
"Dave spent his career helping organisations scale through strong customer relationships, operational excellence, and partner-led growth. His experience building and leading high-performing teams across APAC makes him exceptionally well positioned to harness the demand for Autonomous IT and accelerate adoption in the region," Grosshans said.
Market focus
LogicMonitor sells software used to observe and manage IT operations across infrastructure, cloud, internet and digital experience environments. More recently, it has emphasised autonomous IT operations and AI in its product messaging as businesses look for ways to reduce manual operational work.
For suppliers in this part of the market, Asia Pacific presents both opportunity and execution challenges. Large multinationals operate alongside country-specific technology requirements, while data location, procurement preferences and local partner networks can shape how vendors build out regional sales operations.
Patnaik's appointment suggests LogicMonitor wants stronger local execution as it tries to convert demand into enterprise contracts and broader partner relationships. His role also places him within the company's global go-to-market leadership structure, indicating the region is part of a wider growth agenda rather than a standalone territory.
Patnaik said customers across the region are facing a more demanding operating environment.
"Organisations across APAC are navigating increasing operational complexity while accelerating digital transformation and AI adoption," said Dave Patnaik, Vice President of APAC, LogicMonitor.
"LogicMonitor is uniquely positioned to help organisations operate with greater visibility, resilience, and efficiency, and I'm excited to join the company at this inflection point of accelerated growth across the region," Patnaik said.
