Yesterday

LG Electronics has revealed its 2025 OLED evo television range, featuring a variety of advanced models including the world's first true wireless OLED evo M5 and the OLED evo G5.

The new range is equipped with AI-driven personalisation capabilities aimed at enhancing the home entertainment experience for individual users.

The 2025 OLED evo models are powered by the LG α (Alpha) 11 AI processor Gen2, which provides exceptional OLED picture quality characterised by perfect blacks, outstanding brightness, and enhanced processing capabilities. "The LG OLED evo offers a customised experience that can be tailored to each user and showcases the pinnacle of OLED innovation for an elevated home entertainment experience," a spokesperson stated.

The latest OLED evo televisions utilise the updated LG Brightness Booster Ultimate technology, which employs enhanced light control architecture and boosting algorithms to achieve up to three times the brightness of conventional OLED models, significantly improving detail definition and creating a more vivid view.

Aside from brightness, the OLED evo series is designed to reproduce accurate colours and maintain stable performance even in varying light conditions. The models deliver impressive black levels and vibrant colours, receiving UL Solutions' "Perfect Black" and "Perfect Colour" verification alongside Intertek certification for colour fidelity. In addition, TÜV Rheinland has certified the series for "Quick Stability with Image Quality," underscoring the consistently high picture quality available immediately upon powering up the TV.

The new OLED evo series supports an enhanced Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Compensation. This feature adapts to the ambient lighting conditions to uphold the director's original intent, ensuring a cinematic viewing experience across diverse lighting settings.

Gaming enthusiasts are poised to benefit from several features integrated into the OLED evo TVs, such as the first-ever 4K 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate, supported by NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium. These features combine to offer seamless gameplay with minimal input lag and up to 165 frames per second. The OLED evo TVs are also the first in the industry to receive ClearMR 10000 certification by VESA, endorsing their capability to maintain flawless motion even during rapid sequences.

The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen2 significantly advances picture and sound quality. It deploys deep learning algorithms to refine lower resolution images, enhancing them with precision at the pixel level. Furthermore, Dynamic Tone Mapping Professional offers more nuanced control of HDR10 content, allowing content creators to fine-tune image and colour details to suit diverse environment conditions.

Complementing the visuals, the AI Sound Pro technology ensures a rich audio experience with virtual 11.1.2 channels of surround sound. The system automatically adapts tonal balance and clarity, customising the sound experience to individual preferences. "These AI-driven features represent a new level of smart TV innovation, making the 2025 OLED evo models intuitive and user-centric," explained a representative.

The new models deliver a personalised user journey right from startup, with features like the AI Remote. The AI Welcome greets users personally and customises content suggestions, while the AI Voice ID feature adjusts profiles based on individual vocal recognition. The AI Search function allows users to find content easily and efficiently, utilising cutting-edge conversational understanding technology.

The OLED evo models also support multi-platform integration via its webOS interface, offering a seamless connection to other ecosystem devices such as ThinQ and Google Home, enabling users to manage their smart home devices conveniently through the TV interface.

Notably, the M5 series is pioneering as the world's first wireless OLED TV, offering wireless transmission of audio and video up to 144Hz without latency. It also supports tear-free gaming at 4K 144Hz, certified by NVIDIA G-SYNC. This model, like others in the range, is recognised for enhancing user value, having been awarded the CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award for its 83G5 model and the Honouree title for the 83M5 model in the Video Display category.
