FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ingram Micro has entered into a partnership agreement with IT automation services firm Nerdio. Nerdio enables managed service providers to deploy Microsoft Azure to their customers.

Barbara Kidd, general manager, Cloud NZ, Ingram Micro NZ, says Nerdio is the on-ramp to the Microsoft Azure superhighway.

“Nerdio enables MSPs to automatically provision a complete Microsoft Azure IT environment within two hours. Once it is set up, ongoing management is extremely easy, as the majority of tasks can be managed from a central portal by non-engineers in just three clicks or less,” she explains.

“Providers are able to choose from three comprehensive plans and Nerdio's cost estimator makes pricing Microsoft Azure simple, quick and error-free,” says Kidd.

“Azure resources, including servers and desktops, automatically scale up or down, so customers only pay for whats truly needed,.”
Kidd adds the Nerdio partnership is currently exclusive and is designed to help Ingram Micro partners leverage the growing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) opportunity in the New Zealand market,.

Joseph Landes, chief revenue office, Nerdio says the company welcomes the opportunity to partner with Ingram Micro in both the New Zealand and Australian markets.

“One of the biggest opportunities for partners in the ANZ market today is to move their customers infrastructure to the cloud,” Landes says.

“Nerdio is excited to work with Ingram Micro Cloud in Australia and New Zealand to empower their partners to build successful cloud practices with Nerdio for Azure, which is designed to enable easy deployment, management, pricing, and optimisation of Microsoft Azure,” he explains.

Nerdio is among a group of global independent software vendors selected by Microsoft for intensive joint sales, support and go-to-market initiatives under its Go-Sell Ready programme.

Ingram Micro has a vast global infrastructure and focuses on cloud, mobility, technology lifecycle, supply chain and technology solutions. It has local sales offices and/or representatives in 64 countries, 190 logistics centers worldwide, and represents over 1,700 suppliers, including Acer, Apple, Cisco, Citrix, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Samsung, Symantec, VMware and others.

Nerdio for Azure enables customers to build and rapidly grow their cloud practice in Microsoft Azure. Companies are able to deploy a complete Azure IT environment in just a few hours, manage customers' infrastructure from one easy management portal, and get total clarity on Azure pricing to maximise monthly recurring revenue.
