FPT wins AWS DevOps Competency as cloud demand rises

FPT has achieved Amazon Web Services DevOps Competency status, its sixth AWS Competency designation.
The competency recognises AWS partners with expertise in provisioning infrastructure and managing cloud-native applications on AWS. For FPT, it covers continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, cloud-native applications, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring and logging.
The award adds to a relationship with AWS that spans more than a decade. FPT says it now has more than 1,200 AWS experts and certified professionals supporting clients' cloud programmes.
Headquartered in Vietnam and operating in more than 30 countries and territories, FPT said the recognition reflects its work in software development and cloud operations for customers across multiple industries. It reported revenue of USD $2.66 billion in its 2025 financial year and employs more than 44,000 people.
Cloud demand
The recognition comes as businesses increase spending on cloud systems to support wider use of artificial intelligence. FPT cited research conducted with Forrester Consulting that found nearly 80% of companies have already deployed AI across key functions.
As those projects move from pilot stages into production, companies are placing more emphasis on the systems used to build, test, release, and monitor software. DevOps practices are commonly used to automate software delivery, standardise infrastructure changes, and improve resilience in live environments.
This has made cloud management and development processes more important for companies trying to expand AI tools without adding operational risk. FPT said its work includes helping customers adopt microservices architectures and improve consistency across environments.

AWS uses competencies to identify partners with specialist knowledge in specific technical and industry areas. For services firms, those badges can help signal experience to customers seeking outside support with cloud migration, application modernisation, and operational management.
For FPT, the DevOps award extends a broader push into cloud and AI services. The group describes itself as an AI-first company and has been increasing its focus on strategic technologies as it expands internationally.
The latest competency also highlights how service providers are positioning DevOps work as part of the foundation for larger digital transformation projects. Rather than treating software delivery as a standalone engineering discipline, companies are increasingly linking it to cloud governance, platform stability, and the practical demands of running AI systems at scale.
FPT said the designation validates its experience in helping customers provision infrastructure, manage cloud-native applications, and establish monitoring frameworks on AWS. It added that these areas are central to running production systems reliably as businesses modernise software delivery.
