Endeavour Group reveals leadership changes for 2024
Endeavour Group has announced notable changes to its Group Executive Leadership Team to further its transformation goals and enhance business performance.
Paul Carew will assume the role of Managing Director of ALH Hotels at the start of the new year. Carew, with over 18 years of leadership experience in the gaming and entertainment sectors, currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Tabcorp.
Paul Carew will succeed Paul Walton, who has been serving as interim Managing Director of ALH Hotels since Mario Volpe stepped down in 2023 due to health issues. Walton will return to his previous position leading the group's Pinnacle Drinks business.
Harinder Saluja has been appointed to the newly established position of Chief Transformation Officer. Saluja joins Endeavour from the New South Wales Government's Process and Technology Harmonisation Program and will oversee the One Endeavour transformation programme and enhance key technology systems within the company.
Chief Marketing Officer Jo Rose has decided to resign from her position to spend more time with her family in the United Kingdom. Rose, who took on the role shortly after Endeavour's demerger from Woolworths, has led the marketing and customer teams for the past three years.
Ilana Stringer, currently the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, will leave the company in February. Stringer has been with Endeavour for over three years, having previously spent five years with Woolworths prior to the demerger.
Both Jo Rose and Ilana Stringer will continue in their roles until the second quarter of the next calendar year.
Commenting on the changes, Endeavour Group Chief Executive Officer Steve Donohue said, "Paul and Harinder bring new skills and deep experience to the executive team and will help drive the next phase of Endeavour's success. I am very pleased they have accepted these important roles with the business."
Donohue also expressed gratitude towards Paul Walton, stating, "I would also like to thank Paul Walton for his leadership of ALH Hotels, taking on the role in difficult circumstances and creating substantial value for the business."
Steve Donohue commends the outgoing executives, saying, "Jo and Ilana have both made outstanding contributions to Endeavour, establishing strong platforms for growth and improving the business's performance. On behalf of the entire management team, I wish them the very best for the future."
These executive changes reflect Endeavour Group's strategic commitment to bolstering its leadership and transformation efforts. With experienced leaders stepping into key roles and a renewed focus on innovation and operational efficiency, Endeavour aims to drive continued growth and adaptability. The organisation's appreciation for both incoming and outgoing leaders underscores its focus on achieving long-term success while honouring past contributions.
