Dell has launched new Windows PCs and workstations for local AI development, created in partnership with NVIDIA and Microsoft.

The update includes the XPS 16 Creator Edition laptop, a Dell Creator Edition Desktop and a rebrand of Dell's AI workstation line under the Dell Pro Precision name. Dell Pro Precision with GB300 will also be offered on Windows, bringing a deskside AI system into enterprise Windows environments.

The XPS 16 Creator Edition is the first XPS laptop to use the NVIDIA RTX Spark superchip. It supports up to 128GB of unified memory, allowing the CPU and GPU to share a single memory pool for larger AI models, 3D scenes and video projects.

The hardware is aimed at creators and developers who want to run models locally rather than rely on cloud infrastructure. The machine includes the NVIDIA CUDA stack and supports tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ComfyUI and Cursor on RTX Spark.

Dell also introduced a compact desktop under the Creator Edition name, using the same RTX Spark superchip and up to 128GB of unified memory. The desktop is designed to sustain heavier workloads for longer than a laptop, including rendering, 3D work, and AI training or fine-tuning tasks.

According to Dell, the desktop can deliver up to 1 petaflop of FP4 compute and support AI models with more than 250 billion parameters. Both Creator systems are positioned for users who want AI development, creative software and gaming support on a Windows machine.

Workstation rebrand

Dell is renaming Dell Pro Max with GB10 and Dell Pro Max with GB300 as Dell Pro Precision with GB10 and Dell Pro Precision with GB300. The move brings the systems under the Pro Precision workstation brand, which Dell uses for machines aimed at professional workloads such as simulation, rendering, engineering and AI development.

The more significant change in the workstation line is the planned Windows version of Dell Pro Precision with GB300. Dell said organisations have often used Linux for demanding AI workloads while keeping everyday productivity and engineering work on Windows, and it wants to bring those environments closer together.

Dell Pro Precision with GB300 on Windows is intended for developers building and deploying AI agents within existing enterprise desktop environments. IT departments will be able to deploy the system within current Windows infrastructure without changing operating systems or introducing separate management policies, according to Dell.

The hardware scales to 20 petaflops of FP4 compute and 748GB of memory on NVIDIA's GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip, according to Dell. Dell said that specification allows the workstation to run models with up to 1 trillion parameters locally.

Windows Subsystem for Linux is part of the setup, giving developers access to Linux-based AI frameworks and the NVIDIA CUDA ecosystem from within Windows. Dell said this removes the need for dual booting or switching between separate environments.

Display and connectivity

For the XPS 16 Creator Edition, Dell has also focused on display quality and physical connectivity. According to the company, the laptop includes a 3.2K tandem OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, Pantone Validation and factory calibration to Delta E below 2.

Dell said the screen supports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600, brightness of up to 1,000 nits and a variable refresh rate from 20Hz to 120Hz. The laptop also includes a full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader, three USB4 Type-C ports, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1b and a universal audio jack.

Software support is also central to Dell's pitch. RTX Spark Windows PCs support both native applications and x86 applications through Prism emulation. Dell named Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere as native applications, while MATLAB is supported through Prism.

Gaming support is another part of the message, with support for anti-cheat systems including Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye, as well as the Xbox PC app. That places the products in the broader Windows device market rather than positioning them as narrowly specialised workstations.

Rob Bruckner, President, Client Devices, Dell Technologies, said: "AI is no longer something you build in the cloud and deploy later. It runs continuously, makes decisions and connects directly to the work people do every day. From a creator pushing the limits of a premium laptop to an enterprise team running always-on AI models at their desk, Dell, NVIDIA and Microsoft are delivering the compute to drive the agentic AI era."

Dell said the XPS 16 Creator Edition will be available in Singapore in mid-to-late October 2026, while the Dell Creator Edition Desktop and Dell Pro Precision with GB300 on Windows will follow.
