ECI Software Solutions has appointed Gino Granata as its first Asia Pacific Channel Manager, based in Melbourne.

Granata will lead the expansion of the company's channel programme across the region, focusing on alliances with manufacturing consultants, system integrators, resellers and other industry groups. He will also oversee partner enablement for ECI's Deacom, M1 and JobBOSS2 enterprise resource planning products.

The appointment marks a further build-out of ECI's regional operations as the software group expands its presence in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific market. Over the past 24 months, it has assembled Australia-based sales, professional services and customer success teams to support the region.

Granata's remit includes partner communications, joint marketing activity and alignment across ECI's regional alliance network. He will also help partners sell, deploy and support the company's manufacturing software, while identifying additional revenue opportunities.

Regional build-out

The new channel role follows ECI's introduction of Deacom in Australia in the previous quarter. Aimed at batch and process industries, the software adds to the company's existing manufacturing portfolio in the market.

That sequence suggests ECI is strengthening indirect sales routes as it expands its footprint among manufacturers facing pressure on margins and operations. Channel partners often play a key role in software deployment and support, particularly in fragmented mid-market industrial sectors.

According to ECI, Granata brings more than 14 years of experience across finance and automotive. Most recently, he co-founded Gfinance, a mortgage and finance aggregation business that holds an Australian Credit Licence, where he worked on partner networks and cross-selling and reselling programmes.

ECI said he also built an AI agent-automated platform during his time at Gfinance. Earlier in his career, he held roles including Senior Business Manager, Credit Analyst and Mortgage Broker.

Partner push

Manufacturing software suppliers increasingly rely on channel partners to reach specialist segments and provide local implementation support. In Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region, that often means working through consultants and resellers with established customer relationships in sectors such as discrete manufacturing, fabrication, food production and process industries.

ECI's regional partner support structure includes pre-sales and post-sales technical engineering assistance, training, sales tools, marketing development funds, a partner portal and certification programmes. The addition of a dedicated regional channel manager indicates a push for tighter coordination of those resources as the company seeks wider market coverage.

Andrew Mamonitis outlined the role channel partners will play in that effort.

"Partners will play an increasingly critical role in supporting our mission to help organisations automate manual processes and gain real-time insight into production and profitability. We look forward to the positive impact that Gino Granata will have in helping our partners address the surge in demand for our purpose-built AI-based solutions for manufacturing operations," said Andrew Mamonitis, Vice President APAC, ECI Software Solutions.

The company serves small and mid-sized businesses and says it has more than 25,000 customers in over 90 countries. Its software portfolio spans manufacturing, building and construction, field service and distribution.

For the manufacturing market, the latest regional hire underlines the importance ECI places on indirect routes to market as software buyers weigh automation investments against cost pressures. Partners can influence product selection, implementation timelines and long-term service relationships, particularly where customers want sector-specific advice.

Granata said the current environment presents an opening for the partner ecosystem if it can combine technical knowledge with sector focus.

"We have a great opportunity to support partners with the combination of specialist skills, market-leading solutions and clear differentiation in key market segments, and I look forward to developing and driving our partner relationships in supporting customer value," said Gino Granata, Asia Pacific Channel Manager, ECI Software Solutions.

He also pointed to the operational and financial pressures facing local manufacturers.

"Right now, Australian manufacturers are under pressure to boost margins, compete globally and effectively implement AI-based functionality across their operations. I'm excited about what the new financial year holds for our channel partners as they support customers in overcoming these issues, and I look forward to enabling them with the deep technical experience they require for successful customer transformation," said Granata.
