8x8 bolsters ANZ channel momentum with four new hires
8x8 has added four new Sydney-based employees to its Australia and New Zealand channel team, aiming to accelerate its commitment to regional cloud communications resellers and channel partners.
At the same time, the new team members will aim to better enable 8x8's resellers and channel partners to provide customers with the maximum value and return on their investment in the company's cloud-based solutions.
Ahmad Zahlan joins 8x8 as Professional Services Manager and has more than 15 years' experience in the IT and communications industry during which time he has deployed Unified Communications Solutions as a Service, customer experience and business process automation platforms in different business sectors.
Zahlan previously worked at Genesys and was responsible for managing the company's Project Management Office (PMO) team across the region. Prior, he worked in various project management delivery roles at Interactive Intelligence, including as APAC Project Delivery Manager.
Timothy Taylor has been appointed Account Executive for New South Wales and will be responsible for working with channel partners to support sales development.
He has more than 30 years' sales experience in the IT industry across North America and the Asia Pacific during which time he has worked for Alcatel-Lucent, Nortel, Talkware, Marshal Software, NetIQ and Legato Systems. Taylor joins 8x8 from eMite where he was APAC Channel Development and Sales Manager.
Scott Carloss has been appointed Sales Engineer and will support 8x8's channel partners with pre-sales technical support. Carloss has 15 years of IT industry technical consulting experience in contact centre, telephony and systems integration. He joins 8x8 from Dimension Data where he held a number of roles, most recently as Solution Architect.
Quynh Ha has been appointed local Number Portability (LNP) Project Coordinator and will assist channel partners in porting processes. Ha has more than 20 years' experience in the IT industry having worked for organisations such as Powertel, Macquarie Telecom, Cisco and Accsoft Business Solutions.
Most recently, she worked at Optus as LNP Project Coordinator where she was responsible for the porting of Optus Business customers.
