Zoom has appointed Andrew Hindmarch as Head of Channel for Asia Pacific, expanding its regional leadership for the partner business.

Based in Singapore, Hindmarch will oversee channel strategy across Asia Pacific and work with distributors, resellers, systems integrators and service providers. He will report to Carlos Quaderi, Head of APAC at Zoom.

The appointment comes as technology suppliers seek to deepen partner relationships across the region, particularly as customers explore broader use of artificial intelligence in workplace software and customer engagement tools.

Hindmarch will focus on extending market reach and supporting growth across products including Zoom Workplace, Zoom CX, Zoom Phone and Zoom Events. He will also work to strengthen partner expertise and create new business opportunities across Zoom's regional network.

He joins from NiCE, where he led the channel business for the customer experience division across Asia Pacific and the Middle East as Vice President, Partner and Alliances. Earlier, he held senior commercial and channel roles at Avaya, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and 3Com.

Hindmarch has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology and customer experience, much of it focused on building channel businesses in Asia Pacific.

Quaderi linked the appointment to customer demand across the region.

"Customers across APAC are looking at how AI can deliver value across more of their business, from how employees work to how they serve customers. Hindmarch brings deep CX expertise and a strong track record of building channel businesses across diverse markets. As demand for Zoom CX and our broader portfolio continues to grow, his experience will be invaluable in helping partners capture new growth opportunities, deliver greater value for customers, and help more organisations turn conversations and insights into action," said Carlos Quaderi, Head of APAC at Zoom.

Partner focus

Zoom will continue its channel strategy through the Zoom Up Partner Programme, designed to provide partners in Asia Pacific with tools, training and support across its product set.

The regional channel organisation has become increasingly important for software vendors as businesses buy and deploy communications, contact centre and collaboration products through partner ecosystems rather than direct sales alone. In that context, leadership appointments in partner teams can shape how suppliers expand into local markets and sectors.

For Zoom, the hire also signals a stronger emphasis on customer experience software alongside its established meetings and communications business. Hindmarch's background at NiCE and Avaya places him in a part of the market where contact centre, communications and customer service systems are converging.

Hindmarch described the timing as significant for customers and partners in the region.

"I'm excited to join Zoom at a time when AI is creating new opportunities for organisations to rethink how work gets done and how they engage with their customers. Having spent much of my career in CX and scaling channel businesses, I've seen the critical role partners play in turning technology into real outcomes for customers. The breadth of Zoom's AI-powered solutions gives us a strong opportunity to help partners meet customer needs and grow their businesses across APAC," said Andrew Hindmarch.
