Wild Tech strengthens APAC growth with new C suite
Wild Tech has appointed three executives to its leadership team as the Sydney-based technology consultancy expands its operations and targets further growth in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
The company has named Sheryl O'Brien as Chief Operating Officer, Phillip Walsh as Chief Solutions Officer and Dom Rey as Chief Revenue Officer. The appointments add senior leadership across operations, solutions and commercial execution.
Wild Tech said O'Brien will oversee operational scaling across Australia and New Zealand and support growth in Singapore and Malaysia. The company positions the hires as part of a wider push into larger organisations and more regional work.
Operations focus
O'Brien joins with more than 20 years of experience across retail, insurance, finance, telecommunications and technology. Wild Tech said her background includes work on IPOs and business transformations, as well as governance and operational leadership.
She has worked previously with Wild Tech Founder and Chief Executive Grant Wild. The company said the pair have collaborated in the past.
"I'm excited to join Wild Tech at such a pivotal time in its growth journey. The company has built a strong reputation for innovation, customer success, and a people-first culture," said Sheryl O'Brien, Chief Operating Officer, Wild Tech.
"My focus is on putting the right operational foundations in place to scale effectively, because while tech may be the enabler, it's people who power real change. Our people are not here to rationalise businesses, we're here to help them grow, adapt, and stay relevant for the long haul," said O'Brien.
Solutions lead
Walsh takes up the Chief Solutions Officer role after serving as Chief Technology and Product Officer at DXC Technology. Wild Tech said he will lead its solutions strategy across enterprise technology, customer experience and generative AI work.
Wild Tech framed the role as a link between emerging technologies and deployable offerings for clients. It said Walsh will work across solution design and market positioning.
"Most firms try to sell an AI vision that's miles ahead of where customers actually are," said Phillip Walsh, Chief Solutions Officer, Wild Tech.
"Joining Wild Tech gives me the chance to work in a space where AI isn't sold as a revolution, but used as a tool that's grounded in reality and proven in process, to solve real problems and build trust," said Walsh.
Revenue strategy
Rey joins as Chief Revenue Officer after senior roles at Microsoft, SAP and ServiceNow. Wild Tech said he brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software sales, including ERP and CRM work across Australia and New Zealand.
The company said Rey will lead go-to-market strategy, partner engagement and client success. It said he will align sales execution with its next stage of expansion.
"You can't outsource trust to an algorithm," said Dom Rey, Chief Revenue Officer, Wild Tech.
"Our customers don't just buy solutions, they're also buying into the people delivering them, and building that human connection is what drives outcomes that reflect the customer needs," said Rey.
Growth signals
Wild Tech operates as a technology services and consulting business. It works with clients on digital transformation programs and related delivery.
Grant Wild linked the hires to the company's growth plans and focus on client delivery. He said the new executives strengthen leadership across multiple parts of the business.
"Bringing in leaders of this calibre reflects our growth ambitions and our commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients," said Grant Wild, CEO, Wild Tech.
"Sheryl, Phillip, and Dom each bring unique expertise that strengthens our leadership team and ensures we are well-positioned to expand our impact in the market. Their appointments build on the momentum of being names in the AFR Fast 100 and signal our readiness to scale, deepen our industry impact, and help organisations embrace innovation with confidence," said Wild.
Wild Tech said it plans to scale its work across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on AI-driven projects and digital transformation delivery.
