WatchGuard appoints first platinum partner in A/NZ

20 Aug 18

WatchGuard Technologies has appointed Melbourne-headquartered Viatek Group as its first Platinum Partner in Australia and New Zealand and its second one in the Asia Pacific region overall.

Viatek, a national MSP, was awarded platinum status in recognition of its commitment to protecting and securing clients with Watchguard offerings.

“Viatek is an outstanding example of a partner which provides the IT security skills and experience to drive and maintain mutual and end-user customer success,” WatchGuard Technologies Asia Pacific and Japan sales vice president Sylvain Lejeuene says.

“At the same time, we recognise that this relationship will continue to bring additional market momentum through Viatek’s reputation and outstanding track record of achievement.  The business benefits of working together will result in the delivery of optimal performance for our customers and a great user experience for organisations that rely on leading security solutions to remediate risk.”

Viatek is an Australian owned technology organisation with 400 staff across 23 locations, combining local presence with the assurance of a national 24/7 helpdesk, traditional managed service and professional service teams.

With a software-defined approach, they help customers embed operational agility, responsiveness and transparency to meet business needs.

“In recent years, we have transformed our business and selected the right IT vendor partners which we believe will provide us with the best chance of growth within the regions in which we operate,” says Viatek sales director James Veness.

“WatchGuard is a perfect fit for Viatek. They have market-leading products and a quality of service which is second to none in the industry. Going forward, we are excited about their risk prevention-based security solutions which we believe are compelling  for our target market being the mid-market to the lower end of the large corporate market.”

The company’s approach to network security focuses on bringing best-in-class, enterprise-grade security to any organisation, regardless of size or technical expertise.

“Right now, we are seamlessly integrated with WatchGuard both from a technology and a business viewpoint,” adds Veness.

“Their support escalation process just works and their operational backend is tightly integrated which make the relationship compelling.  We are excited about the future potential for WatchGuard in Australia.”

As a WatchGuard Technologies Platinum Partner, Viatek has a dedicated WatchGuard executive sponsor and can attend an on-site visit with WatchGuard for integration, marketing and sales planning.
