Vonex has officially commenced trading on the Australia Securities Exchange (ASX), operating under the code VN8.
The company says the milestone represents the culmination of hard work and support from various stakeholders, with management firmly believing that the listing will be transformational for the business.
Funded by a $6 million IPO, the company says the listing will allow them to focus on investing into the expansion of the company's business units, as well as the development of new 'cutting‐edge' products.
Vonex managing director Matthew Fahey says, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the last couple of years and extend special thank you to Alan Hill and State One Equities for their efforts in supporting the IPO.
"Today is a truly momentous day for Vonex and we look forward to providing further updates in due course.
One of the areas the company says it will focus on post-listing is its retail division, Vonex Telecom.
It says the listing will allow the business to kick-start its rapid expansion plans, with marketing and investment in channel partners centred on NBN-related opportunities over the next 36 months (as the network is rolled out)
This aligns with the timing of the NBN rollout, which is now targeting highly populated urban/city areas in Australia, allowing Vonex Telecom to more efficiently service its initial target customer-base of small to medium business (SMB), who will need to upgrade.
The company's channel partner program will also be expanded further to increase its presence and drive additional sales in these new areas.
The company will accompany this channel expansion with the commencement of an aggressive marketing campaign, designed to position Vonex as a smart business customer choice during the transition to the NBN.
Beyond its retail division, Vonex says it will conduct a thorough evaluation of its wholesale business, with a view to expanding the products and services offered via this business unit.
The company will continue to attract new white‐label carrier businesses to the group, both in Australia and overseas.
Another area of focus for Vonex after the listing will be its Oper8tor App, which will enter a Beta trial stage shortly.
Vonex says Oper8tor is the only app they are aware of that allows multiple social media voice apps to operate seamlessly together.
