Vertiv partners with NVIDIA to bolster high-density power solutions
Wed, 20th Mar 2024

Vertiv, a global leader in critical infrastructure and continuity solutions, has announced its partnership with the NVIDIA Partner Network (NPN) as a Solution Advisor: Consultant partner. The collaboration aims to bring the company's extensive background in high-density power and cooling infrastructure to the table, providing broader access to Vertiv’s portfolio of power and cooling solutions.

The NVIDIA Partner Network is a global program for technology collaborators who provide solutions built on or powered by NVIDIA technologies. As a member of the network, Vertiv joins leading software vendors, cloud service providers, solution providers, and system integrators and offers to address and overcome the unique infrastructure challenges posed by accelerated computing.

Partnership with the NVIDIA Partner Network comes with a wide range of benefits such as technical support, training, and collaboration opportunities, assisting partners in delivering innovative solutions to their customers. The NPN platform gives Vertiv an invaluable opportunity to contribute its in-depth knowledge of power and cooling solutions to address the unique needs of this rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi, CEO at Vertiv, highlighted the company's ongoing relationship with NVIDIA, saying, “Vertiv has collaborated with NVIDIA in research, development, and engineering for multiple years, designing innovative products and solutions that support the deployment of NVIDIA technologies globally.”

He continued, "We have combined our leadership in power and cooling solutions with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge platforms to help meet the demands of the most compute-intensive applications and support the deployment of AI infrastructure across the globe.” Albertazzi outlined how their ongoing collaboration aims to create state-of-the-art liquid cooling solutions for next-generation NVIDIA accelerated data centres powered by GB200 NVL72 systems.

Vertiv's high-density power and cooling solutions are conceived to support the newest generation of GPUs running the most compute-intensive AI workloads securely, with optimal performance, and high availability. Vertiv’s selection of liquid cooling technologies includes Liebert XDU coolant distribution units, Liebert XDM split indoor chillers, and Liebert DCD rear-door heat exchangers. These technologies cover a wide spectrum of application requirements. Furthermore, Vertiv’s Geist™ rack power distribution units (PDUs) range has been updated to accommodate a higher power draw within the rack, thus reducing the physical footprint while maintaining high efficiency.

This new announcement underlines Vertiv’s ongoing commitment to support and aid the transition toward accelerated computing and AI workloads. Through their collaboration and NVIDIA Partner Network membership, Vertiv is poised to continue to provide innovative infrastructure solutions that meet the rapidly evolving needs of AI technology.
