FYI, this story is more than a year old

Veeam Software has been named 2020 Global Technology Partner of the Year by HPE for the second year in a row.

The announcement was made yesterday at the HPE Partner Growth Summit Virtual Experience, where the company's channel partners across its ecosystem are awarded for their performance.

Veeam and HPE recently passed a milestone in their collaboration – 10 years of partnership, as well as eight years of solution integration and co-innovation.

“For more than 10 years, Veeam and HPE have had a strategic alliance that is trusted by market-leading businesses across the globe to protect and rapidly recover data, ensure business resilience and reduce risk,” says Veeam chief  Jim Kruger, CMO at Veeam.

“Veeam is honoured to receive this award two years in a row based on the strength and joint investment in our partnership and Veeam's leadership in supporting businesses as they accelerate their Digital Transformation plans.

“Together, Veeam and HPE help safeguard our customers' data to ensure business continuity.

Veeam and HPE's integrations encompass delivery of solutions-as-a-service (SaaS), both on and off-premises. They also offer automated solutions to streamline operations, as well as to recover if infrastructure is compromised by human error or malicious attacks.

“I'm proud to recognise our channel partners who raise the standard of business excellence and demonstrate continued commitment to our joint customers,” says HPE senior vice president of worldwide partner sales Paul Hunter.

“HPE is dedicated to enabling our partners with tools and solutions that will spark innovation in their own business.

“By collaborating and growing together, we are able to deliver the outcomes our customers need to prosper.

Veeam's achievement comes a week after the company launched an update of its backup and recovery solution for Amazon Work Spaces (AWS), following an expansion of the partnership between the two companies.

Veeam Backup for AWS v2 builds upon a solution originally launched last year, and delivers AWS-native Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) backup recovery.

It can also operate as a standalone AWS backup and disaster recovery solution for AWS-to-AWS backup, or it can be integrated with the Veeam platform.

“Veeam R-D efforts for future releases have always been built off of feedback from our strong user and partner community, and this latest release of Veeam Backup for AWS is no different,” says Veeam CTO and senior vice president of product strategy Danny Allan.

“Our recent releases in AWS Marketplace, as well as our AWS Storage Competency achievement, not only strengthens our commitment to be a leader in Cloud Data Management, but in further extending Veeam-powered data protection to AWS customers.
