FYI, this story is more than a year old

Talend has appointed a new regional vice president for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), with the intention of driving the next phase of growth in the area.

Mark Fazackerley, said to be a ‘highly accomplished senior executive and business leader', has been chosen for the task.

Fazackerley is responsible for driving regional business development and growth, including expanding Talend's partner ecosystem, and reporting to Stu Garrow, senior vice president of sales and general manager, APAC.

Garrow says, "I am delighted to welcome Mark, who has extensive expertise in facilitating successful client outcomes in complex scenarios.

"Talend is experiencing robust growth in Australia and New Zealand, driven both by strong demand for our cloud-based data integration solutions and by our efforts with our strategic partners.

"Mark is an inspiring and respected leader focused on people and is passionate about the success of his customers."

"I look forward to working closely with him to help our customers and partners create and develop their strategies based on trusted data," Garrow says.

Fazackerley has spent the majority of the last 25 years working in the data and analytics space, and more recently in the robotic process automation domain, both areas where many challenges are faced in data quality and data integration.

He brings more than two decades of industry experience in developing and managing complex and dynamic business environments, across multiple industries and geographies.

Prior to joining Talend, Fazackerley served as head of partner sales, ANZ at Blue Prism, where he drove organisation growth and revenue through indirect sales via key alliances and partnerships.

Fazackerley previously held senior sales leadership roles at Micro Focus, MicroStrategy, and Oracle, with broad sales experience also at Hyperion Solutions, and Brio Software.

On the appointment, Fazackerley says, "Australian and New Zealand organisations are expected to accelerate their digital transformation projects this year to mitigate the effects of the global economic crisis induced by the pandemic.

"I am truly excited to join Talend, an exciting company with a fantastic market-leading product strategy.

"In 2021, we will work to develop new growth opportunities by expanding our footprint in the region and collaborating with our partners to enable our customers to succeed in their data journey."
