Selector unveils enhanced AIOps platform with GenAI
Tue, 19th Mar 2024

Selector, renowned AIOps startup, proudly unveils its Spring 2024 release. The release sees significant enhancements like GenAI, advanced full-stack monitoring and observability capacities, ML driven root-cause analysis, and the incorporation of LLMs. Selector has managed to create a unified platform offering functionality that previously required multiple software tools.

An enhanced innovation in this new version is a GenAI-powered network-oriented LLM, native full-stack monitoring capabilities, and event correlation backed by root cause analysis. This development presents the inaugural and unique industry's unified monitoring, observability, and multi AIOps platform – all within Selector's ecosystem.

Given this new offering, Selector is not confined to acting over pre-existing tools but also has direct capacity to amass configuration, metric, various event, and log telemetry with native monitoring capabilities. Kannan Kothandaraman, CEO at Selector, stated, "Operations teams have been grappling with tool proliferation in their bid for actionable observability and monitoring. The latest release empowers organisations to drive better efficiency through the consolidation of tools while ensuring healthy insights into network and IT environment performance using Selector's innovations in the field of ML and AI".

Integral aspects of the new version include: the integration of GenAI, facilitating instant access to more significant incident summaries, troubleshooting assistance, and automation of remediation via the Selector Copilot; enhanced monitoring and observability enabling NetOps, DevOps and SRE teams to collect and analyse network-based telemetry data; root-cause analysis with an innovative approach aimed at identifying the incident's root cause, thus hastening the investigation and remediation processes; a digital representation of user’s network and IT infrastructures known as the 'Digital Twin'; and an impending arrival on the GCP marketplace in the next quarter, making software procurement, vendor management, pricing, and cloud commitments more efficient.

Selector's CTO, Nitin Kumar, referred to a Gartner report suggesting that by 2027 over 40% of operational activities will be conducted using tools enhanced by GenAI, dramatically reducing required labour. Kumar stated, "Assistive troubleshooting, automated incident remediation, and incident summarisation are key features demanded by operation leaders for years".
