Powertec to distribute Fuzion off-grid systems in ANZ

Sat, 27th Dec 2025

Powertec Telecommunications has been appointed an authorised distributor for Fuzion Technologies across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, in a deal that focuses on off-grid power for communications infrastructure.

Under the distribution agreement, Gold Coast-based Powertec will sell Fuzion's FTP-300 system across the wider Asia-Pacific region. The product targets remote and regional deployments where mains electricity is unreliable or unavailable.

The FTP-300 is a compact solar power system supplied as a single packaged unit. It integrates solar generation, storage and power management in one enclosure. The system includes voltage-selectable Power-over-Ethernet ports for critical communications and networking equipment.

Powertec will position the FTP-300 for use with Wi-Fi hotspots, surveillance cameras, microwave customer premises equipment, cellular gateways and cellular repeaters. The company expects demand from sites in regional communities, industrial locations and other hard-to-reach areas.

Powertec said the integrated nature of the FTP-300 reduces installation complexity. The unit supports cloud-based monitoring of system status. It also features a compact and ruggedised construction that targets harsh environments and rapid deployment requirements.

Remote connectivity focus

Powertec has long targeted connectivity projects in regional and remote locations in Australia and New Zealand through its reseller and integrator partners. It supplies equipment for mobile coverage, satellite links, Wi-Fi, security and networking projects.

The company said the partnership with Fuzion reflects growing demand for off-grid power in telecommunications and security deployments. It also reflects continued investment in wireless broadband and mobile coverage in less densely populated regions.

"Fuzion Technologies' FTP-300 aligns perfectly with Powertec's focus on enabling connectivity in regional and remote locations," said Paul Boyce, Product Manager for Powertec Telecommunications. "As demand continues to grow for off-grid communications infrastructure, particularly for wireless broadband, security and mobile coverage applications, the FTP-300 provides a practical, scalable and field-proven solution for our reseller and integrator network."

Powertec distributes products for a range of wireless and infrastructure vendors across the region. The company supports enterprise, industrial, government and remote projects through a mix of channel partners and in-house technical staff.

Fuzion's regional expansion

Fuzion Technologies develops power and infrastructure products for telecommunications and wireless network deployments. The business focuses on solutions that operate in challenging or isolated environments.

The agreement with Powertec expands Fuzion's market access across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Powertec will use its existing distribution network and reseller relationships. It will also use its experience in regional network roll-outs and its technical support capabilities.

Fuzion said it will work with Powertec on the FTP-300 and on additional products that target off-grid and edge network use cases. These may include future variants or complementary systems for telecommunications providers and systems integrators.

"We are excited to partner with Powertec Telecommunications," said Sean Sealey Founder and CEO for Fuzion Technologies. "Powertec's strong presence in the connectivity market and deep understanding of regional deployment challenges make them an ideal distributor for the FTP-300 and future products across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands."

Off-grid power market

Off-grid power solutions have gained traction as communications providers, governments and enterprises extend connectivity into rural and remote locations. Solar-based systems reduce reliance on diesel generators and fixed grid connections. They also support smaller and more modular deployment models.

The FTP-300 sits within a market segment that focuses on compact, containerised or enclosed power systems for single sites or small clusters of devices. These systems often supply radio equipment, cameras, routers and base stations in locations such as farms, mines, transport corridors and remote communities.

Powertec said the FTP-300's design suits integrators that require repeatable and standardised installations across multiple sites. The product's all-in-one format aims to reduce site engineering and minimise on-site construction work.

The system's cloud monitoring function supports remote oversight of performance and fault conditions. It aims to reduce site visits by maintenance teams. The PoE outputs allow direct connection of networking and communications hardware without additional power conversion.

The partnership gives Powertec an expanded portfolio in the power and infrastructure segment. It also gives Fuzion a channel into established connectivity projects in the ANZ and Pacific markets. Both companies expect further demand as governments and operators push regional connectivity targets.

The FTP-300 is now available through Powertec Telecommunications and its authorised resellers, and both companies indicated plans for additional products targeted at off-grid and remote communications sites across the region.
