Cohesity, the AI-driven data management and data security firm, has announced the appointment of Peter Hanna as Head of Channels for Cohesity Asia-Pacific & Japan. Boarding on from Brisbane, Australia, Hanna is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in regional strategic sales for renowned information and communications technology companies.
In his new position, Hanna will spearhead Cohesity's channel sales and partner engagement across the Asia-Pacific & Japan region. He is expected to align his focus with the company's key objective to establish Cohesity as a leading player in contemporary AI-powered data security and management solutions for both partners and customers.
Over the years, Hanna's noteworthy expertise has spanned across ICT sales, technology-led business transformation, and strategic go-to-market (GTM) initiatives in the Asia-Pacific, Japan, and China region. His previous clients include globally strategic customers to whom he has offered technology-led business transformation while minimising their cyber risk.
Prior to Cohesity, Hanna held distinguished positions at VMware, such as the Head of Global Customers - Asia Pacific, Japan & Greater China, and Regional Director - North & West Australia (QLD, WA, NT) and Papua New Guinea. During his tenure at Dell EMC, which spanned over fourteen years, Hanna maintained an active role in various data storage sales and technology strategy operations.
One of Hanna's main proficiencies lies in developing and optimising go-to-market strategies across the Asia Pacific, Japan, India, and Greater China. He is dedicated to customer centricity and ardently supports diversity and inclusion efforts in his professional operations.
