NextDC celebrates channel with inaugural partner awards

09 Nov 15

NextDC is reinforcing its commitment to the channel, launching an annual NextDC Partner Awards.

The awards will recognise and reward the best performing partners under the NextDC Partner Program, with awards across five categories – Enterprise Partner of the Year, SMB Partner of the Year, New Partner of the Year, As-a-service Partner of the Year and Carrier Partner of the Year.

Craig Scroggie, NextDC chief executive, says the data centre operator’s partners are a key part of the company’s success, which has seen NextDC record 238.5% growth over the past three years.

“It is the unique combination of our hyper-scale, world-class, national network of data centres, our carrier-neutral connectivity platform, real-time data centre analytics and industry leading technical services that NextDC offers, coupled with our partners’ innovative infrastructure, platform, software and connectivity services, which together allows customers to leverage the rich ecosystem of hybrid computing options that they are demanding today,” Scroggie says.

The company has more than 250 partners in its cloud centre ecosystem.

“NextDC is dedicated to the ICT community,” Scroggie says. “Our go to market strategy is with and through our ICT partners.”

Steve Martin, NextDC’s national partner strategy general manager, says the company is providing ‘unparalleled flexibility and support’ for the channel to evolve with the ‘as-a-service’ market and provide the full spectrum of services from cloud to managed to colocation and much more.

“The channel players that have set themselves up for long-term success are those actively helping customers migrate IT workloads to fit-for-purpose cloud platforms, while keeping a focus on the more traditional legacy workloads, and maximising the strategic value their customers require with a combination of cloud plus colocation,” Martin says.

The winners of the inaugural NextDC Partner Awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton Sydney on 02 December.
