Logitech has launched the Signature Comfort Plus range of computer peripherals, adding a cushioned mouse and a keyboard with an integrated palm rest to its Signature Series.

The line includes the M850 L mouse with palm cushion support, the MK880 keyboard-and-mouse combo, and the M840 L mouse, which does not include the cushion. It is aimed at people who spend long periods at a desk and move between work and personal tasks across several devices.

The launch expands Logitech's desktop accessories portfolio as hybrid working remains common and employers continue to equip both home and office setups. The products support multiple operating systems and can switch between up to three connected devices through Logitech's Easy-Switch feature.

The M850 L is Logitech's first mouse with a built-in palm cushion. It also features a sculpted right-hand shape, rubber side grips, silent clicking and scrolling, and SmartWheel scrolling that shifts between precision and faster navigation.

The MK880 combo pairs the mouse with a keyboard that includes a dual-foam palm rest, curved typing angles and cushioned keys. It supports typing positions at 0, 4 and 8 degrees, and uses a layout compatible with Windows, macOS and ChromeOS.

Both products are designed for quieter use in shared spaces, with lower-noise typing and silent mouse clicks. Users can also customise controls through Logi Options+ and Logi Tune software, including shortcuts, meeting functions and an AI launch key for tools such as Copilot, Gemini and ChatGPT.

Battery life is another practical selling point. Logitech says the keyboard can run for up to three years and the mouse for up to two years before the batteries need replacing.

Business focus

Alongside the consumer models, Logitech is releasing business versions of the M850 L and MK880 combo. These ship with the Logi Bolt USB-C wireless receiver and support Logitech Sync, a device management platform that gives IT teams visibility into device and firmware status.

The business range is intended for large-scale workplace deployment, where secure wireless connectivity and centralised oversight are priorities. Multi-OS compatibility and configurable controls are also part of the pitch, particularly for organisations managing mixed device estates.

Art O'Gnimh, General Manager of mice and keyboard solutions group at Logitech, outlined the rationale for the launch.

"People now spend long, full days at their desks, constantly moving between tasks, screens, and personal moments," O'Gnimh said. "These are tools that don't ask for attention, they give it back, removing small distractions and adding comfort so everything feels smoother and more effortless."

That focus on comfort reflects a broader trend in the peripherals market, where suppliers are trying to differentiate products through ergonomics and lower-noise operation rather than headline computing performance. Logitech is targeting workers who alternate between office, home and personal devices during the same day.

Materials and design

Logitech also linked the launch to its sustainability programme. Plastic parts in the Comfort Plus range contain between 49% and 77% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, depending on colour, and the products are shipped in FSC-certified paper packaging.

The company also says the long battery life is intended to reduce how often batteries need changing over the products' lifespan. It did not disclose pricing, listing figures for the consumer and business models as placeholders.

Colour options will include graphite, off-white and black, although regional and channel variations will apply. Availability and product configurations will also vary by market.

The launch is part of Logitech's effort to broaden its coverage of everyday office tools as demand shifts from standard desktop equipment to accessories that support longer, more varied workdays. The range targets home workers looking for quieter peripherals, businesses standardising device fleets, and users juggling multiple screens and operating systems from the same desk.

Devices can switch between up to three connected systems, including a work computer, home laptop, tablet or phone, using Easy-Switch keys.
