FYI, this story is more than a year old

LG Electronics is releasing its 2020 K Series line up, K61, K51S and K41S to the Australian market.

The LG K series includes quad-camera functionality, FHD+ FullVision display and AI features across the range.

The RRP for the three models will be AU$259 (K41S), $329 (K51S) and $429 (K61).

The new handset range features capabilities that were first introduced in the LG premium range, including a high-resolution main camera on the K61, quad cameras, displays greater than 6.5 inches across the range and 4,000 mAh Li-ion batteries.

Each phone in the range includes a rear quad-camera array consisting of a high-resolution main camera, wide-angle lens, depth sensor and a macro lens, a first in the K series.

The 48MP main lens in the K61 is the highest resolution camera ever offered in an LG smartphone.

Quad-Cell technology allows for clear pictures in low light.

The super-wide-angle camera enables more content to be included in a shot, and the depth-sensing camera is designed to improve portrait shots.

The Depth sensing camera and standard camera work together to adjust depth, blurring the background.

The AI CAM shoots in optimal camera mode and supports eight different modes of shooting people, animals, food, and more.

The K61 has a hole-in display that fills the 6.5-inch FHD+ FullVision screen to avoid the need for large bezels.

DTS:X 3D Sound enables stereoscopic sound when connected with headphones.

The 4,000mAh battery matches that of typically larger phone sizes in order to provide longer time between charges.

All three 2020 K series phones are designed with cinematically proportioned displays with thinner bezels than their predecessors to improve the viewing experience.

“We are committed to delivering advanced smartphone features at a competitive price for the Australian market. With LG incorporating optimum features into the K series, we know this can be an affordable alternative for money-conscious consumers at this time,” says LG Electronics Australia mobile marketing manager Linda Louskos.

The range includes a MicroSD slot to allow for expandable storage.

The K61 and K51S include a 2.3GHz octa-core processor and the K41S includes a 2.0GHz version.

All phones in the range come only in titanium grey colour for the Australian market.

The LG K series will be available nationally during the coming months from selected retailers.
