Ingram Micro & Cohesity unite for stronger Asia Pacific cyber resilience
Ingram Micro has entered a new strategic collaboration with Cohesity to strengthen the provision of data protection and cyber resilience solutions across the Asia Pacific region.
The partnership will see Cohesity's data security capabilities aligned with Ingram Micro's portfolio of cloud, cybersecurity, and services-focused products, following expansion into the Australian market in addition to existing availability in Singapore and Indonesia.
Platform integration
The joint effort brings together Cohesity's Helios data platform - featuring key offerings such as Cohesity DataProtect, Cohesity Gaia, and Cohesity FortKnox - and Ingram Micro's Xvantage platform. This integration is aimed at delivering a unified digital experience for channel partners.
According to both parties, users will be able to access features that streamline operations, including automation for quoting, order management, real-time tracking, and personalised service recommendations. Partner organisations will also be able to utilise Ingram Micro's technical services, which span assessments, deployment, and managed services - delivered via Xvantage's global infrastructure.
Joint enablement initiatives are set to be delivered through training modules and go-to-market resources available on Xvantage. Ingram Micro partners are expected to benefit from simplified procurement processes, facilitated by flexible quote-to-order conversion, immediate access to pricing and availability, automated credit and billing, and API-based integration with existing business systems.
Supporting partners in cyber resilience
"Cohesity adds significant value to Ingram Micro's portfolio by complementing its extensive line card and enhancing its partner offering in cyber resilience, data protection, and AI-powered data management," said Kaaren Lewis, Ingram Micro Australia's Director, Advanced Solutions, Cybersecurity, Hybrid Business Applications and Cloud. "Our partners are looking for trusted, integrated solutions that help their customers strengthen cyber resilience and accelerate secure recovery. Cohesity's platform aligns perfectly with our focus on delivering high-value, AI-driven cybersecurity solutions through our channel, and we are excited to grow together across the region."
Lewis's remarks highlight the aim to provide a combination of technology and support that can assist channel partners in addressing evolving cyber threats and enable organisations to recover quickly and securely should an attack occur.
Unified digital experience
The unified approach is positioned to reduce complexity for partners and their customers, with accessible technical resources, commercial models, and go-to-market support all incorporated within the digital platform. This, the companies say, should facilitate the deployment of advanced data security and management tools, as well as AI-powered responses to a sophisticated cyber threat landscape.
"Forming this relationship with Ingram Micro will allow Cohesity to bring scale, reach, and partner engagement across the region," said Peter Hanna, VP, Channels and Alliances, Cohesity. "By helping partners simplify how they deliver advanced data security, we're giving customers greater maturity and assurance in all aspects of their technical and people processes.
"Effective cyber resilience depends on having every capability in place when detecting, responding to, and recovering from cyber attacks," continues Hanna, "Together, we're helping build the foundation for long-term resilience in the digital era."
Hanna's comments emphasise the significance of a comprehensive solution set in enabling customers to prepare for, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents, underlining the focus on both technical tools and process maturity for resilience.
The combined offering is now available to partners and customers in Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.
Cohesity's solutions are utilised by a wide range of enterprise customers worldwide for data protection and cyber defence, offering ransomware recovery and AI-enabled data management functionalities that organisations can deploy both on-premises and in the cloud.
Through the expanded reach of Xvantage, Ingram Micro's partners in Asia Pacific are positioned to leverage Cohesity's full suite of data security and cyber resilience tools with integrated support, streamlined operations, and access to relevant training and commercial enablement resources.
