Ingram Micro claims top EMC prize; Infront takes triple glory
Integrator Infront proved a triple threat at EMC's 2014 ANZ Business Partner Program Awards last night, while Ingram Micro was named EMC's Distributor of the Year.
The awards, presented in Sydney, recognise the achievements of the highest performing EMC partners from the last financial year.
Infront took home the EMC Solution Provider Outstanding Achievement Award for Signature Partner Australia, along with the solution provider awards for Specialist Partner of the Year – Data Protection Solutions and Specialist Partner of the Year – Emerging Technologies.
Ingram Micro's award also came in the Solution Provider category.
Not to be outdone, New Zealand's Datacom equaled Infront on the awards front, taking home two solution provider awards - Premier Partner New Zealand, Specialist Partner of the Year for Core Technologies, and the EMC Service Provider Exceptional Growth Award.
Telstra claimed two awards, winning Service Provider Outstanding Achievement Award and VCE Asia-Pacific Partner of the Year.
The awards also saw Technology Effect named Solution Provider Premier Partner Australia, while the award for EMC Overall Excellence in Hybrid Cloud went to Ethan Group.
Meanwhile in the Alliance Awards section, Wipro claimed the Outstanding Achievement Award, while CSC claimed the gong for Exceptional Growth.
Alister Dias, EMC ANZ vice president and managing director, says the awards enable the vendor to acknowledge its channel partners for their hard work during the previous year.
"We have over 250 channel partners in Australia and New Zealand and each and every one plays a huge part in the success of EMC and its products and solutions. "We look forward to continuing to develop and grow these partnerships in 2015," he adds.
For the first time, EMC held its partner sales conference ahead of the EMC Business Partner Program Awards dinner.
During the events, EMC APJ senior management provided almost 200 channel partner representatives with updates on EMC strategy and the achievements of 2014.
