Infor appoints Geoff Thomas to lead APJ growth drive

Infor has named former Qlik executive Geoff Thomas as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, with a remit covering Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast and North Asia, and India.

Thomas is based in Sydney. He takes responsibility for Infor's regional business and leadership team at a time when the company says it plans to expand its local presence and partner relationships across APJ.

Infor also confirmed changes to its management structure in Australia and New Zealand and in Southeast and North Asia.

Regional remit

Thomas has worked across Asia Pacific for decades, according to the company. He previously led Qlik's business in APJ for six years. He has also held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Juniper Networks, Polycom and OneLogin.

Infor said Thomas will focus on customer experience and innovation in key markets. The company listed Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast and North Asia, and India.

Kobek also pointed to Thomas's experience in the region.

Leadership team

Thomas has made two appointments to his APJ leadership team.

Aidan Brecknell will lead Infor's business in Australia and New Zealand as Vice President and Managing Director. Brecknell is also based in Sydney.

Infor also expanded the remit of Victor Ng, who will serve as Vice President and Managing Director for Southeast and North Asia. Infor said the region includes ASEAN, Greater China and Korea. Ng is based in Singapore.

Infor has a customer base across multiple sectors in APJ. The company listed ANZ customers including Riverina Water, Sealord, My Food Bag and CJD Equipment. It also named NCC Limited, Vallen Asia and Spykar Lifestyles among regional customers.

Cloud focus

Infor positions itself as an industry-focused cloud software provider. The company said it serves customers in 200 countries and cited its presence among large manufacturers in food and beverage, automotive, industrial and supply chain sectors.

Thomas said Infor's customers rely on its software for operational priorities.

He also described the commercial opportunity in the region and pointed to Infor's industry-specific approach.
