iCatalyst has acquired Beyond CRM, adding a Brisbane-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Microsoft Power Platform specialist to its business.
The deal expands iCatalyst's reach in the Australian Microsoft Business Applications market and adds specialist staff and sector expertise to its existing operations.
Beyond CRM will be integrated into iCatalyst through a structured transition. Customer continuity will be maintained, while the Brisbane business continues to focus on its established CRM work and existing client base.
The transaction forms part of iCatalyst's broader plan to invest in experienced staff and expand its national presence. The Australian-owned company works across Dynamics 365, the Power Platform and other business applications.
Beyond CRM has built its business around customer engagement systems based on Microsoft Dynamics and Power Apps. Its team has particular depth in the membership and not-for-profit sectors, where it has developed intellectual property and solution frameworks for customer and stakeholder engagement and operational processes.
The addition also gives iCatalyst a stronger foothold in Queensland as it builds out a national delivery footprint. The combined organisation will be better placed to handle larger and more complex transformation projects across Australia.
Andrew Devitt, Co-founder and Director of iCatalyst, described the deal as part of a deliberate expansion plan.
"This is a considered and strategic step in our growth. Beyond CRM brings a highly regarded team with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, combined with specialist industry IP, which strengthens our overall capability across the Microsoft ecosystem," Devitt said.
He said the acquisition also fits the company's longer-term view of how it wants to build the business.
"Our focus has always been on building a team of experienced professionals who can deliver practical, business-led outcomes. This acquisition allows us to further that vision: expanding nationally while continuing to invest in quality, expertise and long-term customer relationships," Devitt said.
Sector focus
For Beyond CRM, the transaction brings its specialist CRM practice into a larger national organisation while maintaining a focus on the areas where it has built a market reputation. The Brisbane company is known for its work with organisations seeking to design, implement and refine customer engagement systems.
Its experience in membership bodies and not-for-profit groups is a notable part of the deal. Those sectors often require tailored approaches to constituent management, communications and service processes, making specialist knowledge a differentiator for service providers focused on Microsoft's business applications stack.
Warren Davies, Founder and Managing Director of Beyond CRM, said the decision followed a detailed review of potential options.
"After a comprehensive process, it was clear that iCatalyst was the right fit for both our team and our customers," Davies said.
He said the two businesses shared a similar operating approach.
"What stood out was the alignment in how we approach our work: a strong focus on relationships, experienced people and delivering outcomes that truly support our customers. This move gives our team and our customers access to broader capability while maintaining the same level of service and trust that Beyond CRM is known for," Davies said.
Growth plan
The acquisition comes as competition among Microsoft-focused consultancies in Australia continues to centre on scale, specialist expertise and access to experienced staff. Providers have been looking to strengthen their offerings around Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform as organisations update customer systems, internal workflows and broader business processes.
For iCatalyst, the purchase marks another step in building a larger national business around Microsoft applications consulting and delivery. The move reflects continued momentum as the company approaches its fifth year, with an emphasis on sustainable growth and national expansion.
Beyond CRM now operates as part of the iCatalyst team, adding specialist CRM knowledge and an established customer base to the group.
