Hello Clever has partnered with Infinia to expand its payment operations across Latin America, giving the Australian-founded fintech access to payment infrastructure in eight markets.

The agreement covers Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay and Paraguay. Merchants using Hello Clever's platform will be able to reach those countries through a single integration, rather than setting up separate local payment providers in each market.

The move extends Hello Clever's reach in a region where payment preferences vary widely by country. Local systems such as Brazil's Pix, Mexico's SPEI, Argentina's Transferencias 3.0, Colombia's Bre-B and Peru's interoperable Yape payments play a central role in consumer transactions, particularly in eCommerce.

Through Infinia, Hello Clever will gain access to virtual accounts, local pay-ins and payouts, and on- and off-ramp services. The structure is designed to reduce the operational burden on merchants managing cross-border payments across multiple Latin American jurisdictions.

Latin America's eCommerce market is projected to exceed USD $215 billion in 2026, according to figures cited by the companies. That growth has increased pressure on merchants to offer local payment options that match established consumer habits in each market.

Regional push

Founded in Sydney, Hello Clever has been building an international footprint with teams across Australia, Singapore, Japan and the US. It is also opening a new global headquarters in New York as it expands beyond Australia.

The partnership forms part of that broader strategy. By partnering with a provider that already connects to local rails in several Latin American markets, Hello Clever aims to avoid the cost and complexity of building market-by-market integrations itself.

"Expanding across markets requires reliable local infrastructure," said Caroline Tran, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hello Clever.

"Infinia came highly recommended and has deep local payment capabilities across Latin America. By connecting Infinia's rails to our platform, we're giving our merchants access to eight new markets without the complexity of adding new providers," Tran said.

Cross-border payments firms have been trying to simplify entry into fragmented regional markets, especially where domestic instant payment systems dominate online checkout and settlement. For merchants, access to familiar local methods can influence conversion rates, while back-end consolidation can reduce the administrative burden of managing multiple banking and payments relationships.

Founded in 2023, Infinia focuses on financial infrastructure for money movement across emerging markets. The company was established by Ianai Urwicz and Alejandro Rettig and is backed by investors including Bain Capital, Variant Fund and Y Combinator.

Single access

Under the partnership, a merchant integrating with Hello Clever can sell across all eight Latin American countries it covers. Consumers in those markets will be able to use established local payment methods, while merchants can manage access through a single provider.

That matters in Latin America because payment rails and settlement methods often vary by country. A merchant selling across the region may need to navigate different clearing systems, payout arrangements and compliance processes in each country, making it difficult to scale without local partners.

"Businesses operating across borders need more than international transfers. They need the local infrastructure to collect, convert and disburse funds in each market. We're helping Hello Clever connect its platform to the financial rails needed to operate across Latin America," said Ianai Urwicz, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Infinia.

Hello Clever said the arrangement is part of a broader plan to add more international payment corridors. The company currently supports more than 26 currencies across its payment network.

"Every corridor we open makes it easier for our merchants to sell globally," Tran said.

"Latin America is a major step in that journey, and we're excited to be building it with Infinia."
