Guidewire appoints Zack Levy as APAC services head

Guidewire has appointed Zack Levy as Senior Director of Professional Services for Asia-Pacific and expanded Carol-Ann Gough's regional role to include alliances alongside customer success.

Based in Sydney, Levy will lead the insurer software group's professional services organisation across the region. Gough, who joined Guidewire in 2024, will remain Vice President, Customer Success, APAC, while also taking on the role of Vice President, Alliances, APAC.

The appointments reshape Guidewire's regional leadership as insurers across Asia-Pacific continue major technology modernisation projects, including cloud migrations and the adoption of artificial intelligence tools. Levy will focus on services delivery for customers using the company's cloud and core insurance platforms.

Before joining Guidewire, Levy was Head of Cloud Services at Sapiens, where he led an operating model redesign that shifted the business from a legacy project-based software approach to a software-as-a-service model.

He also worked at Capgemini as Head of Amazon Web Services Cloud and Custom Applications, overseeing cloud modernisation, custom application, and generative artificial intelligence work across financial services, government, and enterprise clients.

Earlier in his career, he held roles at Deloitte and Telstra, as well as senior executive positions including Chief Information Officer at Reckon, Chief Executive Officer at Strut Digital, and Chief Commercial Officer at BlueFire Corporation.

Levy will be responsible for steering regional services work and overseeing complex transformation programmes for insurers. His remit includes working with senior customer executives as insurers seek returns from technology spending on cloud systems and artificial intelligence.

Gough's expanded brief brings customer success and partner management together under one regional leadership role. Over the past two years, she has helped rework the professional services business in Asia-Pacific and supported a period of cloud migration activity among Guidewire customers.

Regional focus

The dual appointment points to closer alignment between services delivery, customer management, and partner relationships in a market where insurers are replacing legacy systems and adding new digital tools. Guidewire sells software used by property and casualty insurers and says it serves more than 570 insurers across 43 countries.

For software suppliers to the insurance sector, services teams and consulting partners are often central to large implementation projects, particularly when customers are moving core policy, billing, and claims systems to the cloud. In that context, the leadership changes suggest Guidewire wants closer oversight of delivery and customer engagement in the region.
