Yesterday

Genetec has announced the winners of its 2024 channel partner awards for Australia and New Zealand at its regional event in Bali, Indonesia.

The event acknowledged around 60 Genetec distributors, channel partners, and technology alliances in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighting top-performing partners for their role in boosting revenue growth and providing value to customers throughout the year 2024.

The awards programme aims to recognise partners that have excelled in implementing Genetec solutions, enhancing the delivery of physical security, and achieving operational efficiencies that translate into profitability.

Fortis Security, based in Melbourne, was awarded the ANZ Partner of the Year title for generating the highest revenue for the financial year 2024 and its effective collaboration with Genetec in ensuring customer success.

Another Melbourne-based company, PMT Security, received the Unified Partner of the Year award due to its successful engagement with Genetec Streamvault servers and workstations, as well as SharpV, in cooperation with a local public sector law enforcement service.

Sydney's JD Security secured the Project of the Year Award for its intricate work at one of New South Wales' largest retail shopping centres.

Access Control Partner of The Year was awarded to Convergint Technologies Australia in Perth. The firm excelled in revenue generation for access control solution deployments, certified over 15 engineers with valid Synergis Technical Certifications, and played a pivotal role in implementing the Genetec Access Control System for a global client.

The Genetec Technical Excellence of the Year award went to Sydney's Exact Technologies for its collaborative efforts with Genetec engineering and customer experience teams and the delivery of a notable proof of concept in the logistics sector, which was crucial in securing a deal.

The Rising Star of the Year Award was presented to Cairns-based Simplifi Communications for their success in acquiring new business across various sectors.

George Moawad, Country Manager for Oceania at Genetec, shared his excitement about the direction for channel opportunities in 2025. "In 2025, we're excited about the channel opportunity for our hybrid cloud solutions which support organisations to modernise their access control infrastructure, with feature-rich, cyber-secure systems coupled with strong integration capabilities," he stated.

Moawad further commented on the prospects for growth and security enhancements. "In the year ahead, we believe that our partners will be poised for super charged growth based on our recent completion of an Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) which enables Genetec to deliver our cloud-based physical security solutions to Australian government agencies and critical infrastructure providers, strengthening their ability to protect people, property, and data," he explained.

He concluded by highlighting the significance of the awards. "Ultimately, these awards recognise local capability for delivering solutions that enable customers to realise rapid returns on their Genetec investment. We congratulate all our 2024 award winners and honour our entire ANZ partner channel for their ongoing support in building exceptional momentum and working alongside Genetec to consistently support customers with solutions and ongoing product development to solve the most pressing physical security challenges."
