Genetec's Sydney Experience Centre a significant commitment

The launch of the Genetec Sydney Experience Centre has marked a special and significant milestone in the company’s global expansion, reinforcing its presence and commitment to the Oceania region.

Daniel Lee, the APAC Managing Director for Genetec, officially welcomed guests to the newly launched Genetec Sydney Experience Centre earlier this year.

In his speech, Lee highlighted the collaborative effort involved in bringing this project to fruition, expressing gratitude to various teams and partners.

"This office will not be made possible without the support of Facilities, IT and Marketing team members in Montreal in collaboration with the building owner ISPT, building management CBRE, builder Valmont and the Sydney Team," Lee said.

He proudly announced that the office was built in just 15 weeks, acknowledging fellow Genetec executives supporting the project.

Lee extended his appreciation to the diverse network of ecosystem partners, government stakeholders, analysts, and customers from Oceania and beyond who attended the event.

He also recognised the presence of dignitaries, saying: "Before I continue, I express our gratitude to our dignitaries who have joined us today to celebrate the commitment of Genetec in the Oceania region."

Lee specifically thanked notable attendees including His Excellency Mark Glauser, the High Commissioner of Canada in Australia, The Honourable Anoulack Chanthivong MP, the New South Wales Minister for Industry and Trade, Carolyn Conner, Head of Trade Americas at Austrade, and Helene Larochelle, the Representative of Oceania at Invest Quebec. 

Emphasising Genetec’s commitment to the region, Lee stated: "Genetec is a proudly Canadian business supporting organisations all over the world. Today brings together a series of investments by Genetec into Oceania in recent years."

He detailed the growth of Genetec’s workforce in the region, noting a significant increase from two people in 2018 to 25 today, with plans for further expansion to better serve their customers.

Lee highlighted the advancements in the Genetec platform, underscoring the company’s dedication to innovation and meeting customer demands.

"The investment in the facility we are standing in today, the Genetec Sydney Experience Centre, featuring the Internet of Things showcase which I’m sure you’ve all seen and the immersive Technology Centre."
