Education Perfect launches senior exam revision tool
Fri, 6th Nov 2026 (Today)
Education Perfect has launched Senior Exam Revision for Year 11 and 12 students in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, aimed at those preparing for the HSC, VCE and QCE.
The launch is accompanied by the company's analysis of 250,000 secondary student answers, which found students given instant feedback were far more likely to revisit weak responses. It found 83% of students who submitted a low-scoring first answer tried again when instant feedback was available, compared with 7% when it was not. Final answers improved by 47% on average.
Targeted revision
Senior Exam Revision is designed to show students where marks were gained and lost against state-specific marking criteria. It allows them to revise and resubmit answers, while teachers can view individual and class-wide patterns to identify learning gaps.
The offering has been developed for the senior secondary exam systems in the three states and, according to Education Perfect, was tested alongside expert examiners for the HSC, VCE and QCE.
At student level, the platform provides immediate indicative marks and written feedback on responses. It also includes a learning guide to help students interpret exam questions, including cognitive verbs and other prompts used in assessment, without providing model answers.
For teachers, the system is intended to give a clearer view of where students are struggling before final examinations, supporting more targeted revision and teaching in the final years of school.
Classroom support
Education technology has become a more contested area in Australian classrooms as schools weigh the benefits of digital tools against concerns about accuracy, data use and the role of artificial intelligence in learning. Against that backdrop, Education Perfect is positioning the new product as a classroom support tool rather than a substitute for teaching.
The company also cited an interim study by Educate Ventures Research, led by Professor Rose Luckin, alongside its internal findings. In that study, all nine teachers surveyed said their students were receiving feedback faster.
Jonathan Morgan, Chief Executive Officer of Education Perfect, set out the company's view of the pressures faced by teachers in the senior years.
"The senior years ask more of teachers than any others. They know their students better than anyone, and they deserve a clear view of exactly where each one is losing marks, while there's still time to act. Senior Exam Revision shows teachers where the learning gaps are, so they can personalise learning to close them, for every student in the class. We believe that has real potential to put teachers in a stronger position than ever before, and to make a significant difference for students, because every moment in senior counts," Morgan said.
Data protections
Education Perfect said the system includes protections around school use and student information. It has approval through the Safer Technologies 4 Schools Product Badge Program. The company said student data is stored in Australia, is not sold or distributed, and is not used to train external AI models.
Education Perfect operates across Australia, New Zealand and Canada and says it serves more than 5,000 primary and secondary schools and 1.8 million enrolled students worldwide through its group of education businesses.
Teacher experience
A classroom teacher involved in using the product described the appeal of immediate response cycles in exam preparation.
"Students can attempt a question and immediately get feedback on it. You can see them realise what they missed and want to have another go. That kind of instant learning loop is hard to replicate in a classroom," Wise said.
