DigiCert hits record growth & patent filings in FY2024

Thu, 2nd May 2024

DigiCert, a global provider of digital trust, announced record-breaking growth for FY2024 with the highest quarterly bookings in the company's history and a surge in patent filings as the demand for Digital Trust increases globally.

The firm's rapid adoption of its Digital Trust solutions led to a record total of new bookings in Q4, an unprecedented number of patents filed, and considerable expansion of the company's innovation and products. Attributes contributing to this significant customer demand include the accelerated need for Digital Trust across sectors, product innovation, and strategic partnerships.

The necessity for Digital Trust continues to ascend, influencing areas such as quantum computing, connected devices, and content provenance. Amid this rise, DigiCert has reinforced its market position, boosted its executive team, expanded innovation, introduced new products, and even earned prestigious industry recognition.

CEO of DigiCert, Amit Sinha, shared his perspectives on the growth trajectory and the future of Digital Trust. He said, "While we experienced a lot of great momentum in fiscal 2024, we are even more excited about the opportunities we see for Digital Trust over the next 24 months. More and more organisations endeavour to become quantum ready, coupled with the growing need for trusted devices and content authenticity. What we're seeing is a crescendo of trust issues brought by the unintended consequences of innovation, and as a long-established provider of the foundation on which trust is built, DigiCert is well-positioned to address these issues."

In FY2024, DigiCert achieved key business milestones, including establishing new strategic partnerships with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, TD Synnex, and Deutsche Telekom, acquiring a Net Promoter Score of 76, publishing its inaugural ESG report and commissioning a comprehensive study on Preparing for a Safe Post Quantum Future amongst other success metrics.

The company also filed 32 patents in 2024, the most in DigiCert's history, bringing the total number of issued patents to 113 and 55 pending. Product innovation was a prominent focus with the launch of the DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager, expansion of the offering in DigiCert Software Trust Manager, establishment of DigiCert Labs, launch of CertCentral Europe, and more.

In terms of industry and standards leadership, DigiCert established the first unaffiliated root of trust for the U.S. EV (electric vehicle) infrastructure initiative (Plug & Charge) and ISO 15118-2 standard, surpassed 180 billion DNS queries in a single day, achieved EU Qualified audits and garnered industry recognition including 2023 CRN Channel Chiefs, Top 100 Women in Security, and 2023 Globee Cybersecurity Award.

With its accelerated growth, strategic partnerships, and pioneering product innovation, DigiCert's record 2024 growth showcases the company's focus on providing digital trust and security in an increasingly connected world.
