FYI, this story is more than a year old

Dicker Data has secured authorised distribution rights to Microsoft's Surface Hub 2S range in Australia.

Dicker Data chairman and CEO says the addition of the Surface Hub to Dicker Data's portfolio will boost the company's presence in the professional AV market.

He says that while the company has been in the professional AV market a short time, the company has grown to be a large Australian distributor, and there are no signs it will show down.

“This appointment is also particularly pleasing as we now represent the entire Microsoft Surface range in Australia,” Dicker adds.

The Surface Hub 2S is a Microsoft Teams certified platform and whiteboard. Dicker Data will distribute the full range of devices (50” and 85”), and accessories.

Dicker Data head of AV Andrew Upshon says that the Surface Hub 2S brings physical and virtual collaboration together.

“Whether being used as a digital whiteboard or as the central communication device in a meeting, the Microsoft Surface Hub 2S fades into the background and enables the users to perform their best work in a simple and intuitive way. Coming in both 50-inch and 85-inch variants, including an option to mount the unit on a portable stand, there's a solution to modernise almost any meeting room.

The Surface Hub is available from Dicker Data now.

Microsoft Australia Surface Business Group lead Jane Mackarell adds, “For Microsoft, the Dicker Data partnership regarding our Hub 2S portfolio is an exciting development. Surface Hub brings our entire collaboration platform together into an amazing hybrid working experience. Dicker understands this potential given their focus on AV as well as the entire Microsoft business.

In April, Dicker Data opened the door to its 23,000 square-metre Kurnell Headquarters and Distribution Centre, located in Kurnell, New South Wales.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison attended the ceremony and said that Dicker Data ‘was at the centre of Australia's digital revolution'.

“I am proud as Prime Minister and proud as a local member to look at the Shire and see the strength of our community. It is a constant reminder of how Australia is soaring ahead.

David Dicker said at the event, “‘It was a great honour to have our new place opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison. We have certainly come a long way.

“I don't know what the future holds but with our new place at 238 [Captain Cook Drive] we are well set up to meet it.
