FYI, this story is more than a year old

Dicker Data has announced a new distribution agreement with ISO-certified vendor, Blancco. The international data security company specialises in data erasure and computer reuse for corporations, governments and computer remarketing companies.

Effective today, Tuesday, 7 March, Dicker Data will offer its extensive partner network access to Blancco’s solutions to better manage the end-of-life device process and to capture the revenue opportunity associated with decommissioning technology.

Vlad Mitnovetski, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Dicker Data, commented, “We’re pleased to be bringing Blancco to the Australian market. Our role as a value-added distributor is to continually diversify our technology portfolio provide our partners access to the world’s leading technology solutions.

"Our partnership with Blancco will enable our partners to capture more of the value chain, expand their relevance to their end-customers and own a larger piece of the technology refresh opportunity."

The number of cyber attacks experienced by governments, companies and individuals continues to increase. The secure and proper management of data is a critical measure to prevent unauthorised access to sensitive information that can have a material impact on the owner of that data, Dicker Data states.

Blancco’s solution is the first of its kind in Dicker Data’s portfolio, aimed at enabling partners to strengthen data security and compliance at data end-of-life and create erasure-as-a- service offerings based on the certified and auditable solutions and services offered.

Christina Walker, Global Director for Channel at Blancco, comments, “Effective enterprise data security must be considered in layers so that data is protected at every stage of its lifecycle.

“Dicker Data’s vast experience and nimble nature complements the rapidly evolving security market by helping their partners execute a multilayer approach to enterprise data protection.

"Blancco is pleased to be working with Dicker Data to support their ecosystem with an end- to-end customer solution by adding secure data erasure to their partners’ existing portfolios. This new alliance aligns perfectly with Blancco’s focus on supporting enterprises to reduce their risk, increase efficiency, and map to sustainability initiatives.”

Dianne Lawrence, Regional Director ANZ, Blancco, added, "Blancco is currently selling to ITAD’s and directly to enterprise. By partnering with Dicker Data, Blancco is looking to expand its partner base, particularly MSPs that focus on the enterprise, data centre and federal government space within Australia."

Demand for software-based erasure-as-a-service offering is increasing as the company works to help its partners be more sustainable. Leveraging Blancco’s software, partners can confidently assure their end-customers that their data is safely destroyed, potentially enabling the device to find a second life, the company states.
