FYI, this story is more than a year old

In a significant expansion of its partnership with Microsoft, Dicker Data has today announced the launch of a new Microsoft Cloud business unit, a Partner-to-Partner Portal, and a dedicated marketing service, Amplify.

The move comes as the Australian distributor announced A$100 million in annual revenue for its Microsoft Cloud business alone, a 25% year-on-year growth this year.

Dicker Data COO and executive director Vlad Mitnovetski says the announcement demonstrates Dicker Data's commitment to extend software and cloud technologies solution offerings and their partnership with Microsoft.

“The Microsoft Cloud business unit validates the strong dedication to our vendor relationships, the success of our offerings and expertise in cloud technologies,” he says.

“We have played a key role in enabling the digital transformation cycle for the last five years, enabling companies to digitise to thrive.

“As reseller partners, enterprise and government organisations are implementing accelerated transformation initiatives, Dicker Data's mission is to deliver rapid business value through specialist cloud technology advisory and ongoing partner management services.

The Partner-to-Partner (P2P) Portal for Microsoft Cloud, a cornerstone of the expanded partnership, will provide partners with a directory where they can connect with resellers for partnership opportunities.

Alongside that, Microsoft Cloud partners will also have access to Amplify, a marketing platform to bolster go-to-market strategies and provide resellers with marketing assistance.

The new business unit created in the partnership expansion will be led by Sarah Loiterton as general manager, and will see her prioritise partner value management and new opportunities for Dicker Data.

“We support our resellers as a true solutions aggregator, helping to identify new revenue streams and driving new acquisition strategy, to build strategic partnerships with tangible business benefits,” says Loiterton.

“Unlocking exciting opportunities such as our P2P Portal and Marketing-as-a-Service program Amplify, is a true demonstration of how we are listening to what our partners and vendors are saying and investing in them.

Microsoft Australia chief partner officer Rachel Bondi says the expanded partnership with the distributor is indicative of the increasing role of cloud computing in 2020.

“Dicker Data is one of our most valued partners with an outstanding reputation for the work it undertakes with channel partners around Australia as they digitally transform, embrace cloud computing and establish the operational foundations that will allow them to grow and thrive,” says Bondi.

“Microsoft is delighted by this decision to form a dedicated Microsoft Cloud Division with Sarah at the helm. Sarah is a highly respected and accomplished leader and I congratulate her on this appointment - she will take cloud in SMB to the next level, driving success for our partners and customers.
