Cohesity named customers’ choice for data centre B&R
Cohesity has been named a 2020 Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice for Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions for the third time in a row.
Cohesity was given a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on average, based on 430 verified reviews as of February 20.
Customers' Choice recognition is only provided to seven vendors in the market based on customer input.
To be a Customers' Choice, vendors must have a product that is aligned to the market, have their overall rating (out of 5 stars) equal to or higher than the mean rating for that market, and meet a Review Coverage requirement.
Gartner defines data center backup and recovery solutions market as being focused on providing backup capabilities for the upper-end midmarket and large-enterprise environments.
"To us, being recognised as a Customers' Choice for Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions three times in a row highlights our commitment to delivering modern, end-to-end backup and recovery technologies that are easy to deploy, simple to manage, and span on-premises, cloud, and edge environments," says Cohesity Chief Marketing Officer Lynn Lucas.
"Customers continue to embrace our approach to data management that empowers them to protect their data as well as extract maximum value from it. We're grateful for the response we've gotten from enterprise customers globally across a wide range of industry verticals.
Commvault, Dell EMC, Druva, Rubrik, Veeam and Veritas were also named alongside Cohesity.
A network/systems administrator said: "Cohesity DataProtect is just such a breath of fresh air to what was very murky and forgotten parts of the data center. Cohesity fits perfectly into the current 'NextGen' age of technology we are currently enjoying.
An infrastructure ops director said: "The experience with Cohesity's data management platform has been fantastic and shockingly simple for the team to rollout and manage. Among several standout features and strengths of the product, my team has benefited the most from the easy cloud integration or 'plumbing,' which was a recurring obstacle to shifting data pools out of the data center.
