Boomi has named the winners of its APAC Customer Innovation Awards: CLP Power Hong Kong, Bakers Delight, Brickworks, HEB Construction and Flinders University.

CLP Power Hong Kong received the APAC Customer of the Year Award, Bakers Delight won the Business Impact Award, Brickworks took the Data Activation Award, HEB Construction won the AI & Agentic Transformation Award, and Flinders University received the Platform Excellence Award.

The awards highlight how customers across the region are using Boomi's software to connect systems, manage data and automate business processes in sectors including energy, retail, construction, manufacturing and higher education.

CLP Power Hong Kong was recognised for a large digital transformation program linking smart meters, enterprise applications and operational technologies. The work connected more than 2.9 million smart meters and helped the utility modernise grid operations while supporting its ERP transformation.

According to Boomi, the company cut cross-system integration development time by 70 per cent. The program analyses more than 51 billion smart meter readings each year and involved more than 1.6 million customers in peak-demand reduction through energy-saving programs.

Bakers Delight was recognised for overhauling its digital marketing setup in a three-month project that moved the business away from legacy systems. The bakery chain centralised integrations and master data across customers, products, stores, promotions and orders, allowing it to reuse core integrations in later digital projects.

This led to faster product changes, lower implementation costs and quicker responses to market shifts, including pricing updates across the business. The company used Boomi Integration, Data Hub and API Management in the project.

Brickworks won its award for turning supplier invoice information into structured data for procurement analysis. The manufacturer created a system that extracts, validates and integrates line-item invoice data into Snowflake, giving procurement teams near real-time visibility into spending.

Delivered in three days, the system has processed more than 135,000 invoices, with more than 1,000 added each week. According to Boomi, this has supported supplier analysis, data governance and procurement decisions.

HEB Construction was recognised for changing its tendering process with AI agents that convert employee CVs into reusable profiles and generate project-specific submissions. The company worked with Boomi's AI Centre of Excellence and used Agentstudio, Integration, Data Hub and Agent Control Tower.

The project reduced manual work and sped up bid preparation. It also gave HEB Construction a governed framework for AI, including observability, cost attribution and data controls.

At Flinders University, the award focused on the institution's use of Boomi software across student, staff, research, finance and operational systems. According to Boomi, the university manages 278 active integrations, 26 production APIs and nearly 28 million process executions a year.

The university also used the platform to support cloud migrations, improve data quality and automate manual tasks. Course information updates were accelerated by 300 per cent, while legacy technologies were removed.

Regional Focus

The customer list points to demand for integration and data management tools among organisations dealing with older systems, fragmented information and growing automation requirements. Several of the projects cited focused on connecting large volumes of operational and business data rather than introducing entirely new front-end services.

In energy, the emphasis was on linking smart meter data and grid operations. In retail, the focus was on customer and promotional information. In manufacturing and construction, the projects centred on procurement records and document-heavy tendering workflows. In higher education, the effort was directed at institutional data flows and service delivery.

David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer, Asia Pacific and Japan, at Boomi, commented on the awards.

“The organisations recognised in this year's APAC Customer Innovation Awards demonstrate that lasting transformation begins with trusted data, connected systems, and the confidence to rethink how work gets done,” said David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer, Asia Pacific and Japan, at Boomi.

“Whether they are unlocking measurable business impact, activating enterprise data, embracing AI and agentic transformation, or building platform capabilities for future growth, each of these organisations is delivering outcomes that extend well beyond technology. We are proud to be part of the journey with these innovators as they set new benchmarks for their industries and demonstrate what's possible through the power of data activation,” Irecki said.
