This significant certification serves as a guarantee of defense against potentially harmful high-energy blue light, all while ensuring optimal color performance. The two models that have earned this distinguished certification are the BenQ Boards Pro RP04 and Master RM04, exemplifying the company's dedication to advancing technology in the education sector.
The Eyesafe Certification 2.0 is conferred by Eyesafe, a global frontrunner in Blue Light Management Technology. Rigorous testing processes were undertaken, and both the BenQ Boards Pro RP04 and Master RM04 successfully met the Eyesafe Display Requirements 2.0. These requirements represent the latest criteria for assessing blue light emission and color performance, established by Eyesafe in collaboration with TV Rheinland, a globally recognized third-party certification body.

One noteworthy aspect of this certification is its evaluation of Radiance Protection Factor (RPF), an innovative mechanism for assessing blue light emissions. The RPF serves as a rating system assigned to displays, allowing consumers to quickly identify and compare devices based on their blue light emissions. The scale, ranging from 1 to 100, quantifies a display's blue light toxicity, with a higher number indicating reduced emissions and, consequently, diminished potential harm to the eyes.
Elishaa Batdorf, Marketing Director at Eyesafe, elucidated the RPF system, drawing a parallel with the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) used in sunscreens. She stated, “Similar to how the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) measures protection for the skin, the Radiance Protection Factor (RPF) scale measures blue light emissions and potential risk for the eyes. Higher RPF numbers indicate a greater reduction of high-energy blue light in a display, so the higher the number, the better.”
In the case of BenQ's products, the BenQ Board Pro RP04, the company's latest premium offering for education, boasts an impressive RPF rating of 50. Conversely, the BenQ Board Master RM04 carries a commendable rating of 35.
