Aussie companies shine at Equinix Asia Pacific Partner Awards
Australia's Telstra and VMtech have each taken out multiple awards at Equnix's Asia Pacific Partner Awards, including a prestigious Star Award each.
The Star Awards recognise the top three partners across the entire Asia Pacific region, with the highest number of deals closed during the 12 months period. AT-T Hong Kong was the only non-Australian winner of a Star Award this year.
The awards capped a successful night for both VMtech and Telstra.
As well as taking out the Star Award, VMtech won the Best Innovation Award, presented to the partner who has demonstrated the highest levels of innovative thinking when it comes to leveraging Equinix capabilities to meet a customer challenge.
Singapore's Acclivis took out the remaining regional award, for Marketing Excellence.
Telstra, meanwhile, claimed two local market awards, picking up an award for New Logo Champion – presented to the partners who have brought in the highest number of new customer logos, while Telstra Australia, Hong Kong and Japan took out the Top Performance Partner Award for the partner delivering the highest value of closed deals.
Other winners in the New Logo Champion category were Singapore's 1CloudStar, Hong Kong's China Mobile International and Japan's Otsuka Shokai.
Jeremy Deutsch, Equinix Australia managing director, says "At Equinix we strongly believe that the channel provides us with the reach to scale revenue and increase market share, and the solid progress in our channel and partner programs in Australia and APAC more broadly has proven this to be true.
"The Equinix Partner Awards Asia Pacific are a reflection of that philosophy in action.
Deutsch says as well as recognising its partners publicly with the awards, Equinix is continuing to invest in tools and systems to foster productivity and support its partners.
