Altimetrik has achieved the AWS Generative AI Specialisation, placing the company in a new category within the AWS AI Competency.

The recognition identifies Altimetrik as an AWS partner with validated expertise in helping customers use foundation models and related tools for industry use cases. AWS said the specialisation is intended to distinguish partners with technical depth and customer delivery experience in generative AI.

Altimetrik's work on AWS has included Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker to move customer projects from pilot stages into wider deployment. Its generative AI work is built on what it calls ALTi AIOS, a framework spanning 45 engineering disciplines covering design, deployment and governance.

The company said its AWS-based work includes systems that automate tasks, improve enterprise search and consolidate fragmented data into a single source of truth. Those deployments also include controls for security, compliance and cost tracking.

"Achieving the AWS Generative AI Competency reflects the depth of our engineering expertise in designing and delivering enterprise AI capabilities on AWS," said Farid Roshan, Global Head of AI Infused Digital at Altimetrik.

"From responsible AI and governance to scalable architectures and emerging agentic patterns, this designation gives our clients added confidence that we're applying proven engineering practices to turn AI into meaningful business outcomes," Roshan said.

One example cited by the company involved a global financial intelligence and analytics provider. In that project, Altimetrik built a generative AI-based internal developer platform on AWS designed to change how engineering teams access and reuse code.

The platform uses Amazon Bedrock and Titan embeddings to support an AI coding assistant and search across more than 70 code repositories. Altimetrik said the system enabled developers to find existing work instead of starting from scratch while maintaining compliance and cost controls.

Partner validation

AWS said the specialisation is designed to help customers identify partners that can build and implement AI agents for end-to-end business processes. The cited use cases include knowledge operations, process automation, customer operations, financial operations and supply chain work.

Generative AI projects are increasingly shifting from tests to operational systems, according to industry analysts cited by Altimetrik. That shift has increased scrutiny of data quality, governance, accountability and integration with existing business processes.

"Generative AI is forcing enterprises to confront whether their data, processes and governance are actually ready for enterprise-scale adoption," said Phil Fersht, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Analyst at HFS Research.

"The technology is moving faster than most operating environments can absorb it, which makes engineering discipline, governed workflows and clear human accountability critical. AWS's validation of Altimetrik's generative AI capabilities is significant because it demonstrates the company is building for production environments where AI solutions have to work securely, reliably and at scale, not simply perform well in another pilot," Fersht said.

Altimetrik also argued that sector knowledge remains important as companies try to operationalise generative AI. Company leadership said combining industry experience with AWS technology has been central to client work.

"Generative AI delivers the most value when it's grounded in deep domain understanding," said Gautam Samanta, Chief Revenue Officer at Altimetrik.

"Across our clients, we're combining decades of industry knowledge with the right technology capabilities on AWS to help them build AI solutions that scale with their business and stay aligned to their specific industry priorities," Samanta said.

Market shift

Analyst commentary accompanying the announcement pointed to broader changes in how businesses assess AI suppliers. Buyers are placing more weight on operational controls and measurable outcomes as projects move into core workflows.

"Generative AI is moving beyond experimentation, but scaling it requires more than capable models," said Jimit Arora, Chief Executive Officer at Everest Group.

"Enterprises need trusted data, embedded governance, observability, clear accountability, and the ability to integrate AI safely across real business workflows. Altimetrik's AWS Generative AI recognition reflects the market's shift toward production-grade generative AI and measurable business outcomes," Arora said.
