Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and RingCentral launch co-branded cloud solution
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and RingCentral have entered into a strategic partnership with their sights set on enabling enterprises around the world with cloud communications services.
Through the partnership the businesses are launching a new co-branded cloud solution called Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral that will be a unique and exclusive offering from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
The new offering will be available in the first quarter of 2021.
Under the commercial agreement, both companies will contribute resources towards development and sales and marketing of Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral.
RingCentral will pay Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise $100 million in cash for exclusive access, a minimum seat commitment, and future commissions.
According to the company, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise's central mission is to deliver customised technology experiences to enterprises with a verticalised business approach in networking, communications, and cloud.
The new offering is said to 'enrich' the company's cloud portfolio and enable customers to accelerate their digital transformation with public Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS).
Going forward, RingCentral and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise will jointly develop programs designed for the enterprise cloud communications services market.
