Acusensus adopts NetSuite to drive global ERP growth

Acusensus has selected Oracle NetSuite software as it scales operations internationally, with demand rising from government customers.
The ASX-listed company has unified financial and inventory management through NetSuite's cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. It reported a shorter month-end close, higher invoice throughput, and faster visibility into inventory positions.
Founded in 2018, Acusensus designs and develops road safety solutions that use artificial intelligence and sensing technology. Its products are used in road enforcement and compliance settings, and it also sells systems aimed at improving safety for people working near live traffic.
Acusensus has grown its global workforce to more than 320 employees and forecasts annual revenue to exceed AUD $83 million in FY2026.
Operational shift
As it prepared to scale and expand into more geographies, Acusensus moved away from basic accounting tools and manual spreadsheets. After assessing its options, it selected NetSuite as its ERP platform.
ERP systems typically sit at the centre of finance and operations, standardising how organisations manage procurement, invoicing, inventory, assets and reporting across business units and countries.
"We have a complex operating model, with a mix of software, hardware and services, and needed to consolidate on a single suite to enable more automation as we entered new markets," said Anita Chow, CFO of Acusensus. "NetSuite has helped us unify our finance, procurement, inventory and asset management processes to automate workflows, accelerate reporting, improve business partnering and streamline regulatory compliance as we expand."
Close and invoices
Acusensus reduced its monthly close by more than 60%, with the finance team now closing the books in six days.
NetSuite's built-in AI features also supported a higher volume of invoicing, with invoice volume tripling without a significant increase in headcount.
Finance leaders often track month-end close times as a measure of process maturity and data quality. A shorter close can also give management earlier visibility into performance, cash collection and cost trends.
Inventory visibility
Inventory management within NetSuite has improved real-time visibility into stock levels and helped inform purchasing decisions.
Inventory systems can be critical for organisations that ship physical devices, parts and related equipment into multiple jurisdictions. Lead times, storage locations and deployment schedules can affect working capital and service levels.
Acusensus is also using NetSuite OneWorld for multicurrency transactions and for consolidating results across international subsidiaries.
Business footprint
Acusensus sells technology used to detect and provide evidence related to distracted driving, seatbelt compliance, speeding and railway crossing compliance. It also provides tools for monitoring vehicles of interest, according to the company.
It also offers the Forsite by Acusensus road worker safety system, which combines roadside sensors, connected wearables and real-time analytics. The system provides early warning of approaching vehicles and generates data about worksite risks.
Acusensus listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in January 2023. It is headquartered in Melbourne, with offices in several Australian cities and in New Zealand, the UK and the US.
Oracle NetSuite, a unit of Oracle, sells cloud software used for finance and operations management across businesses of different sizes. NetSuite says it has more than 43,000 customers in 220 countries and dependent territories.
"Organisations with complex business models can be significantly held back by manual processes that limit speed and accuracy and don't scale internationally," said Scott Wiltshire, Vice President and General Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Oracle NetSuite. "With NetSuite, Acusensus has been able to connect business processes with a single suite to automate and optimise its finance and operations and advance its mission to create safer roads around the globe."
Acusensus expects its international expansion to continue as government demand grows for its road safety and worker safety systems.
