Next Byte grew from a local Adelaide shop in 1995 to Australia's largest Apple reseller, but closed by 2016 as Apple's own stores took precedence.
Vita Group will close its eight remaining Next Byte retail stores by March next year, with staff to be redeployed within Vita or retrenched.
