Zyxel Networks among top 5% in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024
Wed, 10th Apr 2024

Zyxel Networks, a known name in secure, AI-powered cloud networking solutions, has been recognised among the Top 5% performers in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook 2024. Its noteworthy achievements in sustainable environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices have earned the Taiwan-based company a mark in the 2024 yearbook.

The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is a significant reference for investors and governments worldwide, highlighting companies with outstanding sustainability practices. Zyxel's inclusion isn't a minor feat, considering that the yearbook comprises only 759 top-performing firms out of the 9,400 scrutinised across 62 industries. In the Communications Equipment industry, only four companies, including Zyxel, made the cut.

In the yearly sustainability assessment by S&P Global, Zyxel scored high on several parameters, including 'Energy Consumption', 'Process Innovations', 'Product Innovations', and its emphasis on human rights for its workforce and partners. In addition, Zyxel's drive to provide accurate and trustworthy vulnerability data has seen the firm become one of only ten CNAs worldwide, reaching the elite Provider Acceptance Level by the U.S. government's National Vulnerability Database (NVD). A status that signifies data from Zyxel is now considered on par with that of the NVD's analysts and is promptly added to the world's largest repository of vulnerabilities.

Zyxel's consistent commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 has seen the company actively promote environmental sustainability through concrete measures. As part of this strategy, Zyxel has introduced a digital management platform to meticulously monitor carbon emissions and energy resource utilisation across its corporate group and supply chain. By aligning this platform with the Science Based Targets initiative practices, Zyxel can precisely track and manage its carbon footprint, enabling more effective emission control and resource optimisation.

Focusing not only on internal improvements, Zyxel is also leading its supply chain toward adopting low-carbon practices. A notable action includes launching the Zero Carbon Academy training program, designed to educate and train its supply chain partners to adopt a more expansive range of low-carbon technologies and strategies. These dedicated efforts contribute significantly to building a sustainable and environmentally friendly business ecosystem, effectively contributing to the global effort to mitigate climate change.

Internationally and domestically, Zyxel has received recognition for its ongoing sustainability commitments. These include an MSCI ESG Rating of A in 2023, the Gold for Sustainability Reporting and the Information Security Leadership Award at the 2023 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards.

Zyxel Networks' inclusion among the top performers in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook 2024 underscores its genuine commitment to sustainable practices. Through concrete actions like reducing carbon emissions and promoting ethical business standards, Zyxel is making tangible strides towards a more environmentally friendly future. By leading by example and actively engaging its supply chain in adopting low-carbon technologies, Zyxel demonstrates a dedication to real, measurable change. This recognition highlights Zyxel as a standout player in the industry, poised to make a meaningful impact on global sustainability efforts.
