Workspot has launched its GUIDE workflow automation platform on Amazon Web Services, giving business users a way to create AI agents that work across application interfaces.

The launch makes GUIDE available through AWS Marketplace and focuses on enterprise workflow automation that does not rely on application programming interfaces or conventional robotic process automation tools.

Enterprises are finding it difficult to automate workflows that span multiple systems, particularly when older software lacks API access, Workspot said. Many existing AI agent tools remain tied to APIs, while traditional RPA products often depend on screen-based methods that require repeated maintenance and technical support.

Workspot positions GUIDE as a graphical user interface-based system that allows AI agents to interact with software through the user interface in the same way as a human user. It says this approach lets the software work across web applications, desktop programs, file systems and terminal environments.

Business users and automation teams can build workflows through natural language prompts rather than code, according to Workspot. The system can also be deployed with security controls, identity integration and governance features aimed at larger organisations.

Market gap

To illustrate the gap between interest in AI and practical deployment in business processes, Workspot cited broader industry figures. It referred to McKinsey & Co. research estimating that enterprises could gain USD $4.4 trillion in long-term productivity growth, while only 1% of executives describe their organisations as mature in AI-integrated workflows.

That gap has become a focal point for technology suppliers trying to move beyond chatbots and isolated AI assistants to software that can execute work across finance, operations, support and internal administration. In many organisations, these processes still require staff to move manually between multiple applications.

GUIDE uses Amazon Bedrock alongside other AWS services, Workspot said, to support the creation and operation of AI-driven workflows in a managed cloud environment.

According to Workspot, the software uses computer vision, reasoning and secure execution to navigate interfaces and complete tasks across systems. The aim is to reduce dependence on brittle automation methods and shorten the time needed to put workflows into use.

Enterprise push

The product also reflects a broader effort by cloud providers and software vendors to capture demand for AI agents that can perform routine actions rather than simply generate text or recommendations. For enterprise buyers, a key question is whether such tools can operate reliably across the mix of old and new software that often exists inside large companies.

Known for its digital workplace platform, Workspot says GUIDE is aimed at enterprise environments where automation teams face backlogs and business units remain dependent on IT departments to implement changes. It argues that those constraints have slowed the spread of workflow automation at scale.

Amitabh Sinha, chief executive officer of Workspot, commented on the problem the company is targeting.

"Most enterprise workflows still cannot be automated with existing tools," Sinha said.

He added: "GUIDE changes that by enabling AI agents to operate across any application interface, allowing organizations to scale automation without the traditional constraints of APIs or RPA."

GUIDE is now available to customers through AWS, according to Workspot. The company describes the platform as part of a broader effort to address workflow complexity in large organisations through AI software that can act across different interfaces without custom integrations or fragile automation techniques.
