Veeam's Don Williams resigns, Shaun McLagan appointed as APJ SVP
Cloud availability software provider Veeam has today announced the appointment of Shaun McLagan to lead the combined Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region as the Senior Vice President, APJ.
The announcement follows the resignation of Don Williams, Veeam A/NZ vice president after being with the software vendor for seven years.
McLagan’s newly created role brings the APJ region together under one leader.
Veeam’s Q2 results saw total revenue bookings grow by 18% year-over-year in the APJ region and the cloud business grow from strength to strength.
Veeam customers grew to 15,300 and partners increased to 5,300, further demonstrating the importance of this region and its contribution to Veeam’s global strategy.
McLagan is an industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience across sales, pre-sales and consulting roles; a global leader that has held positions with leading IT companies including, EMC, Oracle and HP in Singapore, Australia and Canada.
Most recently, McLagan served as vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan for Data Protection Solutions at Dell EMC.
In this role, he was responsible for leading the strategic direction of business across Asia Pacific and Japan.
McLagan, who spent more than 10 years at EMC, previously led RSA in Australia and New Zealand.

McLagan’s appointment – the most senior role in the region – underscores the importance of growing the business and servicing APJ customers and partners for Veeam.
