SNP Transformation World 2025 highlights global SAP innovation
SNP Transformation World 2025 brought together participants from around the globe to discuss SAP innovation and customer transformation strategies.
The event, held in Heidelberg, was attended by business and IT leaders, partners, and customers spanning Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. The gathering focused on real-world SAP transformation initiatives, featuring a program that included expert-led sessions, sector-specific workshops, and case studies from major enterprises.
Global involvement
Executives from companies such as BMW, DHL, E.ON, PepsiCo, Adobe, Pfizer, and Northrop Grumman participated in the agenda, highlighting the global reach of SNP's partner and customer ecosystem. The sessions covered strategies and experiences in SAP modernisation programmes, which included both technical and business-oriented aspects of transformation.
The theme for this year's event was "Stronger Together", which underscored the importance of collaboration throughout the conference's sessions and workshops. Jörg Petzhold, Vice President of Global Marketing & Communication (CMO) at SNP, commented on the event's significance for the SNP community, stating:
"Transformation World has become the heartbeat of our customer and partner community. It's where real-world transformation meets strategic momentum. This year's theme, 'Stronger Together,' resonated across every session, interaction, and outcome."
SNP's growing international presence was reflected in the diverse range of attendees and the global scope of the content, featuring stories co-developed with both customers and partners, including SAP itself.
Australia and New Zealand focus
The conference also saw significant representation from the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. Richard Checketts, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) at SNP Group, commented on the trends within the region and the importance of local partnerships.
"In Australia and New Zealand, we're seeing customers shift away from a purely greenfield approach and instead focus on maximising value from selective data transitions. By combining business-led insights with technical expertise, and working hand-in-hand with IBM, we're helping organisations not just make a technical move to SAP S/4HANA, but set the foundation for long-term business agility and transformation. This has helped SNP grow rapidly in the ANZ region with a 60% to 70% increase in our customer base over last year."
IBM Australia was among the partners present. Marcus Scott, SAP Practise Lead, IBM Australia, described how demand for selective data transition in the market is evolving, noting:
"Selective data transition is still relatively new in the Australian market, but the momentum is building quickly. By leveraging SNP's technology with IBM's functional expertise, we can minimise disruption, preserve critical historical data, and deliver business-led transformations that give our customers a clear and confident path to SAP S/4HANA."
Customer case studies
During the event, executives from Adobe, Pfizer, and Northrop Grumman presented detailed case studies on their SAP migrations. These stories demonstrated how SNP solutions enabled measurable business impacts through efficient data migration and the successful rollout of SAP S/4HANA across global operations.
Sector tracks and engagement
The programme included content streams tailored to industries such as Retail & Wholesale, Luxury Goods, Energy & Utilities, M&A, and Finance & Controlling. These sessions addressed sector-specific priorities, challenges, and best practices. Attendees also participated in guided tours of innovation zones and networking spaces, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
According to SNP, following the event, there was a notable increase in customer and partner engagement, confirming Transformation World's role as a business and innovation platform. Jörg Petzhold summarised this position:
"Transformation World is more than a conference, it's a launchpad for what's next."
