SmartBear partners with Adactin to boost APAC software quality
SmartBear has entered into a strategic partnership with Adactin to distribute its software testing solutions across key markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
The agreement between the two firms will see SmartBear's suite of software quality tools made available through Adactin, an Australian technology provider specialising in cloud, artificial intelligence, and software engineering services. The new partnership will cover Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and India, with a focus on serving sectors such as government, banking, healthcare, education, insurance, energy, and payments.
Expanding APAC presence
Ed Greenwood, Director of International Channel Sales at SmartBear, said, "APAC is a hotbed of innovation with significant investment in digital transformation, driving demand for SmartBear's software quality solutions."
He continued, "Adactin's commitment to providing AI-powered digital engineering, software quality assurance, and business transformation services helps us together bring the best of both worlds to the region. This news also marks the next step in SmartBear's channel strategy, following the recent appointment of Atlassian veteran Joe Tong as SVP of Global Channel Partnerships, as we continue to expand alliances that drive sustainable growth and customer value across APAC and globally."
The partnership is expected to address new software development challenges arising from accelerated coding cycles and the growing need for effective, scalable software testing. With demand for rigorous quality assurance heightened by the adoption of AI in development processes, both companies identified a need for advanced tools and methods across the region's technology and business landscape.
Role of AI in testing
Reflecting changes in the software industry, SmartBear's AI-powered testing solutions, including Reflect and QMetry, will now be distributed by Adactin throughout its APAC markets. The companies claim this will help organisations deliver reliable software products more efficiently while reducing operational costs.
Navneesh Garg, CEO of Adactin, commented on the partnership:
Partnering with SmartBear allows us to help customers de-risk their IT environments while ensuring quality software delivery. Our shared commitment to people and customer success makes this a natural collaboration, delivering technologies that differentiate and create authentic value for enterprises in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and India, as they advance their digital transformation.
According to both organisations, the collaboration responds to growing challenges as enterprises across the APAC region pursue extensive digital transformation projects. By combining Adactin's established experience in delivering IT services and consulting with SmartBear's established software testing technologies, the partnership aims to help organisations meet their software quality requirements more effectively.
Strategic priorities and customer benefits
SmartBear indicated that the partnership forms part of its global expansion plans and APAC channel strategy. The recent leadership changes within SmartBear's channel partner programme are intended to accelerate growth and reinforce its focus on sustainable customer value.
Analysts within the region point to ongoing investment in digital solutions across both government and private sectors, as well as an increased requirement for reliable and secure software, as key drivers for increased adoption of automated and AI-powered testing tools.
As a result of the new partnership, customers in the targeted markets will have access to SmartBear's integrated suite of tools designed to speed up software delivery, automate testing workflows, and provide end-to-end visibility across the software development lifecycle.
Adactin, headquartered in Sydney, has been recognised in regional high-growth lists and provides services across Microsoft and AWS cloud ecosystems, in addition to its software engineering and quality assurance offering. Together with SmartBear, the two companies will offer digital engineering and software quality solutions to public sector agencies as well as commercial firms pursuing digital transformations.
